Lacey Chabert<\/strong><\/a> and Scott Wolf<\/strong> <\/a>portrayed siblings for six seasons on Party of Five<\/em><\/a> \u2014 and the pair are reuniting\u00a0<\/b>23 years later Hallmark\u2019s 2023 Countdown to Christmas.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Chabert, 40, and Wolf, 55 \u2014 who starred as Claudia and Bailey Salinger, respectively, on the Fox series from 1994 to 2000 \u2014 will be paring up as another sister-brother duo for the new original movie<\/a> A Merry Scottish Christmas<\/em>. The film, which was written by Andrea Canning<\/strong> and Audrey Schulman<\/strong>, will premiere later this year during the network\u2019s annual holiday programming event.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cScott and I have talked for years about doing another project together. When we first read this story about these siblings at a crossroads, we both knew it was the perfect opportunity<\/a>,\u201d Chabert said in an official statement on Tuesday, January 27. Wolf, for his part, is just as excited to share the screen with his longtime pal.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWorking with Lacey on Party of Five<\/em> was one of my favorite experiences ever,\u201d the Nancy Drew<\/em><\/a> actor gushed on Tuesday. \u201cReuniting after all of these years to tell such a beautiful story together is a dream that I\u2019m so glad is coming true.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The film will follow estranged siblings Lindsay (Chabert) and Brad (Wolf) as they travel to Scotland for Christmas to reunite<\/a> with their mother, Jo (Fiona Bell<\/strong>). Once they\u2019ve arrived, however, a\u00a0<\/b>big family secret is revealed \u2014 and it may just change everything.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are so excited to reunite Lacey and Scott and know our viewers will fall in love with this movie<\/a>,\u201d Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Media, said on Tuesday. \u201cThe nostalgia of seeing Lacey and Scott together again on screen is going to be a special holiday treat for our viewers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While Wolf is relatively new to the Hallmark family \u2014 he starred in 2019\u2019s A Christmas Love Story<\/em> opposite Kristin Chenoweth<\/strong> <\/a>\u2014 Chabert, for her part, has made her mark in over 25 films for the network over the years.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThese movies mean so much to me. I really am genuine when I say that,\u201d Chabert exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em>\u00a0in October 2021 about making both holiday and year-round<\/a> Hallmark flicks. \u201cThey\u2019re not just jobs and I feel a responsibility to the audience to make the absolute best movie I can.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The Mean Girls<\/em> star noted at the time that she\u2019s tried to \u201craise the bar\u201d on each project to keep fans coming back for more.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201c[When] someone lets you into their living room for two hours, it\u2019s kind of an honor,\u201d Chabert told\u00a0Us<\/em>. \u201cI want to leave people with a good feeling.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Wolf, meanwhile, has starred as Carson Drew on The CW\u2019s Nancy Drew<\/em> since 2019. That same year, he got candid with Us about rewatching scenes from his Party of Five<\/em> days \u2014 a family drama that was known for its emotional beats.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a particular scene where [my character]\u00a0Bailey is kind of falling on the sword for the last time for the family and saying he\u2019s not going to go to school and stay home so\u00a0<\/b>[my sister]\u00a0Julia\u00a0(Neve Campbell<\/strong><\/a>)\u00a0can go to school and that he\u2019s OK,\u201d Wolf said.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cThere was something so \u2026 I\u2019m emotional right now talking about it! After all that time, they wrote this beautiful scene between<\/span>\u00a0<\/b>[brothers] Charlie (Matthew Fox<\/strong><\/a>)\u00a0<\/span>and Bailey, it so encapsulated who he was throughout the course of the entire thing, that it was really, really moving to see because I had forgotten about the scene.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Despite not allowing his children to watch the series quite yet \u2014 Wolf shares sons\u00a0<\/b>Jackson, 14, and\u00a0Miller, 10,\u00a0as well as daughter Lucy, 9, with wife Kelley Limp<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 he confessed that he\u2019s considered allowing them to tune in due to how relatable the show continues to be even today.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think they [his children] hear\u00a0Party of Five\u00a0<\/b><\/em>said so often that it looms in the background of our life<\/a>, to finally put a face to that thing would be cool,\u201d he told<\/span>\u00a0<\/i>Us<\/em>. \u201cI talk to people all the time who are watching it with their families and they say that the stories are so human and authentic and timeless.
