Is Mark Ballas<\/strong><\/a> returning to Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> for season 35? His future is still up in the air.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not sure if I\u2019m returning yet,\u201d Ballas, 39, told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively at the Disney 2026 Upfront Red Carpet in New York City on Tuesday, May 12. \u201cI just had a really solid, straight patch of Dancing with the Stars<\/em>, The Traitors<\/em><\/a>, The Next Pro<\/em> that we just shot.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI just finished doing Chicago<\/em><\/a> on Broadway, so I\u2019m gonna take a beat for a second, and then I\u2019ll decide in the summer or in the fall. But I\u2019m open to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ballas also reacted to the recent DWTS casting news, particularly that Traitors<\/em> alums Maura Higgins<\/strong> and Ciara Miller<\/strong> would be joining the cast<\/a>. (It\u2019s since been announced that Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson<\/strong> will also be taking the ballroom<\/a> by storm.)<\/p>\n

\u201cShe manifested this,\u201d Ballas told Us<\/em> about Higgins, 35, whom he talked to \u201ca lot\u201d about DWTS<\/em> while they filmed Traitors<\/em> season 4, which aired earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited to see her doing the show,\u201d he added of the former Love Island<\/em><\/a> star, noting that \u201cthe pairings haven\u2019t been done yet\u201d between celebs and their pros.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s gonna be great,\u201d Ballas said of the upcoming stars. \u201cThey\u2019re both Traitors<\/em> alums, which it\u2019s gonna be cool for them to connect on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ballas made his DWTS<\/em> debut during season 5 in 2007. He departed the series after season 22 in 2016. Ballas ended up returning for season 25 in 2017 before taking a years-long hiatus. The dancer made a surprise return to the ballroom for season 31 in 2022 to team up with Charli D\u2019Amelio<\/strong>, with whom he won<\/a> the competition and took home the Mirrorball Trophy.<\/p>\n

Ahead of DWTS<\/em> season 35, set to air this fall, Ballas will appear on the new reality show Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro<\/em><\/a>, which is set to air this summer.<\/p>\n
