Hayden Panettiere<\/b><\/a>\u2019s ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson<\/b> still holds the actress in high regard \u2014 and \u201cof course\u201d dreams of marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope so, [but] she probably doesn\u2019t think the same way,\u201d Hickerson, 37, told TMZ<\/span><\/a> on Wednesday, May 13, when asked about the possibility of a reconciliation. \u201cI think Hayden is one of most talented people I\u2019ve ever met in my life, and I would be an idiot not to walk away from her and let her flourish in her career.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hickerson further acknowledged that he and Panettiere, 36, \u201cprobably wouldn\u2019t be good together\u201d if they reunited.<\/p>\n

The Nashville <\/i>alum and Hickerson were first romantically linked<\/a> in 2018. He was arrested the next year following an alleged domestic violence incident with Panettiere. Dickerson was charged with felony domestic violence and ordered to stay away from Panettiere. The charges were later dropped before Hickerson was arrested again in 2020 following another domestic violence altercation with Panettiere. He served 33 days in prison, was placed on four years of probation and ordered to pay a $500 fine.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHayden Panettiere\u2019s ex Brian Hickerson is addressing allegations of abuse in their previous relationship ahead of the highly-anticipated release of her upcoming memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning. \u201cMan, I mean, I think it speaks for itself \u2026 I got arrested for abusing her,\u201d Hickerson said in an interview with TMZ on Tuesday, May 12. Panettiere and Hickerson broke up after the second alleged incident, but they have presumably remained on friendly terms.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s a mutual respect thing,\u201d he told TMZ of where the exes currently stand. \u201cShe\u2019ll always hold a special place in my heart, and I hope the same for her. She\u2019s a good bud [and I miss her] every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Panettiere revisited her tumultuous relationship with Hickerson in her upcoming memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning<\/i>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always seen myself as such a resilient and strong woman, that the idea that I could allow something like this to happen to me, it blew my mind,\u201d she exclusively recalled in an Us Weekly <\/i>cover story<\/span><\/a> earlier this month. \u201cIt blew the minds of the people that knew me best. They, still to this day, can\u2019t believe that I would ever allow that to happen to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cIt was humiliating. It was embarrassing, so I didn\u2019t want anyone to know. I wanted people to know as little as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

During a profile for the New York Times, which was published Tuesday, April 4, Panettiere, 33, opened up about her decision to reconnect with Hickerson, 32, after they both became sober. \u201cI did not do any of this [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
