David Jonsson<\/strong><\/a> is set to join the growing cast of the upcoming movie Please<\/em><\/strong>! <\/p>\n

The 32-year-old Alien: Romulus<\/em> star has just been announced to join the A24 film from writer\/director Halina Reijn<\/strong>, according to Variety<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n

David<\/strong> will star alongside the just announced Connor Storrie<\/strong><\/a> and Tom Burke<\/strong>, as well as previously announced Gracie Abrams<\/strong><\/a>, who makes her film acting debut<\/a> in the pic.<\/p>\n

There are currently no plot details for the forthcoming movie, though it is said to be a period female drama, and continue in the edgy romance drama that Halina<\/strong> did with Babygirl<\/em>. <\/p>\n

While David<\/strong> has been acting professionally for several years, he became a breakout over the past couple years, even picking up the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2025. <\/p>\n

Previously, he starred in the films Rye Lane<\/em>, Alien: Romulus<\/em>, Bonhoeffer<\/em>, The Long Walk<\/em> and Wasteman<\/em>. He’s also been seen in the TV series Deep State<\/em>, Industry<\/em>, Murder Is Easy<\/em>, The Road Trip<\/em> and Too Much<\/em>. <\/p>\n

Also on his future slate, David<\/strong> will be in Colman Domingo<\/strong>‘s directorial debut Scandalous<\/em>, where he’s set to play Sammy Davis Jr opposite Sydney Sweeney<\/strong> as Kim Novak. He’s also starring in Chaperones<\/em> and and the lead role in Frank Ocean<\/strong>‘s untitled directorial debut.<\/p>\n
