Dave Portnoy<\/strong><\/a> isn\u2019t impressed with how Alix Earle<\/strong><\/a> has been handling her ongoing drama with Alex Cooper<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

After Earle, 25, avoided answering questions<\/a> about her feud Cooper, 31, while appearing on the Tuesday, May 12, episode of the Today<\/em><\/a> show, Portnoy, 49, took to social media to blast the influencer for not addressing the issues directly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get all the girlies love Alix Earle. If you go on TikTok or the internet, if you\u2019re in girly world, like some of my feed is, it feels like 95-5 it\u2019s Alix with an I. She\u2019s a girly girl; they love her, they love following her, Alex Cooper is this businesswoman, all these hit pieces on her. I\u2019ve said I like both girls,\u201d Portnoy began during one of his \u201cTea by the Sea<\/a>\u201d segments. \u201cI think the way Alix Earle has handled this is f***ing dog s***.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Barstool Sports owner noted that Earle has been taken \u201cshots\u201d at Cooper \u201crelentlessly\u201d online \u2014 Earle has reposted various videos criticizing Cooper in recent months\u00a0 \u2014 and, despite promises otherwise, has refused to explain why they\u2019re at odds.<\/p>\n

Maybe I\u2019m old school \u2014 and I\u2019m sure Alix with an I has like 3000 people advising her and rolls around with a team of, like, 40 PR people \u2014 but if you\u2019re gonna talk, and talk the talk and take shots, you better answer that bell when someone calls,\u201d Portray said.<\/p>\n

He noted his own approach to online beef, pointing out that he doesn\u2019t need a \u201cteam\u201d or a \u201cscript\u201d and says this with his \u201cwhole chest.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to, like, take these veiled shots at somebody and then when the other person is like, \u2018Alright, let\u2019s go, let\u2019s hear what it is,\u2019 just disappear,\u201d he said, adding that he\u2019s now officially Team Cooper. \u201cI still don\u2019t know what the f*** actually happened \u2026 but if you\u2019re going to chirp, chirp, chirp, just answer the bell.\u201d<\/p>\n

Portnoy ended his lengthy rant by noting that Earle has had \u201cplenty of time\u201d to come forward but has opted to say \u201czip.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo you shouldn\u2019t have been taking shots if you\u2019re not ready to back it up. But they want everybody to be happy-go-lucky and craft an image,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Earle was promoting her new Sports Illustrated<\/em> cover on Tuesday morning when cohost Craig Melvin<\/strong> asked her about the \u201cback and forth\u201d between her and Cooper.<\/p>\n

When he inquired as to what was \u201creally going on\u201d between them, Earle dodged the question, replying, \u201cI\u2019m trying to keep things pretty positive today. We don\u2019t have that much time here, honestly. Also, why ruin such a good day with something not so great?\u201d<\/p>\n

Melvin then pushed further, asking if there was \u201clegitimate contiguousness\u201d or if the drama had \u201call been exaggerated<\/a>,\u201d prompting Earle to respond, \u201cNo, it\u2019s exaggerated. I love everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earle and Cooper previously worked together when the former launched her \u201cHot Mess\u201d podcast under Cooper\u2019s Unwell Network in 2023 and developed a friendship. The podcast was later dropped in 2025, sparking speculation of issues between the pair. A source later told Us Weekly exclusively that \u201ctension\u201d had built between the women once they began working together, noting that they \u201cclashed over business\u201d and their personal relationship<\/a> was in turn affected.<\/p>\n
