Nicole Scherzinger<\/strong><\/a> has mixed emotions about the Pussycat Dolls being forced to cancel all but one date<\/a> on the U.S. leg of their PCD Forever Tour<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNicole is disappointed,\u201d a source exclusively tells Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cShe was really excited to get back out there with Ashley<\/strong> [Roberts<\/strong>] and Kimberly<\/strong> [Wyatt<\/strong>] to celebrate a new era, but now she feels they didn\u2019t get a chance to showcase what they can do.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider acknowledges that the recently reunited girl group<\/a> had been \u201ctoo ambitious\u201d in planning their first tour since 2009\u2019s Doll Domination<\/em>, resulting in low ticket sales.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey went from not touring for over 15 years to booking big arenas like Madison Square Garden with only one new song to back it,\u201d the source points out, referencing the Pussycat Dolls\u2019 comeback single, \u201cClub Song,\u201d which they released in March but have yet to perform. \u201cThey overestimated the demand.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scherzinger\u2019s disappointment has not gotten in the way of rehearsals for the only remaining American show at the OutLoud Music Festival in West Hollywood on June 6. The frontwoman, 47, posted a video via Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday, May 12, of herself, Roberts, 44, and Wyatt, also 44, running through choreography for the Pride Week performance before they launch their international tour in September.<\/p>\n

\u201cNicole is trying to look on the bright side because the Dolls are still proceeding with their European dates, which she\u2019s beyond excited about, but it\u2019s hard not to feel defeated,\u201d the insider tells Us<\/em>. \u201cShe\u2019s been through this before. Her solo album Her Name Is Nicole<\/em> was shelved [in 2007], the Dolls also had to cancel their last reunion tour<\/a> [in 2020] and she has a ton of other music that she never got to put out. It\u2019s been a tough road for Nicole despite her other successes<\/a>, but she\u2019s grateful for the continuous love from across the pond.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the Pussycat Dolls have called off 32 shows, they believe fan videos from the remaining 21 dates could drum up interest for a second chance in America.<\/p>\n

\u201cNicole is hopeful the Dolls can figure out something else in the U.S. after people see the show they\u2019re putting together for Europe, which is going to be very special,\u201d the insider teases.<\/p>\n

The girl group\u2019s reunion has been mired in controversy from the start. After Scherzinger, Roberts and Wyatt revealed they were getting back together as a trio, former Dolls Carmit Bachar<\/strong> and Jessica Sutta<\/strong> publicly called them out for not including all five members.<\/p>\n
