Aspyn Ovard<\/strong><\/a><\/span> is defending her spot on <\/i>The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County<\/i><\/span><\/a> \u2014 even if she\u2019s not Mormon or married.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe spinoff has been very similar to the reaction that the first show got, that people were criticizing the word Mormon or even wife,\u201d Aspyn, 30, shared in a Monday, May 11, YouTube video<\/span><\/a>. \u201cObviously, I\u2019m not a wife. I\u2019m not married. [But] there are a lot of Mormon girls in the cast. I think there\u2019s only two of us that are not married.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aspyn reminded viewers that she was baptized into the Mormon church when she was 9 years old. Growing up, however, the religion she was born into played less of a role in the influencer\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have so many ties to Mormonism from growing up in Utah, getting married young and just being surrounded by that culture,\u201d she explained. \u201cI\u2019ve talked about Utah culture and how it has affected me and shaped my life in so many ways, even as someone who was not Mormon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hulu announced that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, a spinoff of its hit reality series originally located in Utah, at the streamer\u2019s Get Real event in April 2026. The confirmed cast includes McCall Dapron, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Bobbi Althoff, Salom\u00e9 Andrea, Ashleigh Pease, Madison Bontempo and Chandler [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Aspyn continued, \u201cI can\u2019t disagree that something like Secret Lives of OC Wives<\/i> or OC Influencers<\/i> would have maybe been a title that makes more sense. But not even all the girls are influencers. I don\u2019t know. Honestly, I don\u2019t really care. I definitely feel like I have enough ties to Mormons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in April, Hulu announced<\/span><\/a> that a new group of dynamic young mothers in Orange County would come together for a new show based on the hit series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.<\/i><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
