Jenna Elfman<\/strong><\/a> broke her silence after her new show hinted at a possible exit from Tim Allen<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s Shifting Gears<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the Fox Upfronts on Monday, May 11, Elfman, 54, confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly<\/em> that her joining The Interrogator<\/em> as a series regular opposite Stephen Fry<\/strong> wouldn\u2019t interfere with her role as Eve on the hit ABC sitcom.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can go play on Shifting Gears,\u201d she revealed to Us<\/em> before suggesting a possible cameo<\/a> on the Fox project from her Shifting Gears<\/em> love interest. \u201c[Having Tim Allen on] would be very entertaining. He\u2019s very funny and I think Stephen interrogating Tim Allen [would be cool].\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke earlier this month that Elfman has a new show<\/a> in the works. According to the official synopsis, Fry will play a former MI6 agent Conrad Henry.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen conventional methods have failed, Henry\u2019s quirky charm, superior intellect and mind-bending behavioral maneuvers make him the only man able to lock-pick the minds of the world\u2019s most dangerous criminals,\u201d the description teased.<\/p>\n

Elfman, meanwhile, will portray Woodrow, who is a \u201cformer rising star in the CIA whose career was derailed by a mission gone awry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNow stationed at the DIA as a handler for Henry\u2019s team, she views the post as a demotion \u2014 and the first step in clawing her way back,\u201d read her character bio. \u201cShe supervises Henry\u2019s cases, pushes him and often clashes with him; Conrad is always seven steps ahead, and Woodrow is rarely more than five. Still, the pair share a grudging mutual respect that makes for a compelling, strange-bedfellows dynamic.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress\u2019 new job raised questions about her future on ABC\u2019s Shifting Gears<\/em>. She was expected to return for season 3 after previously appearing in nine episodes while also filming AMC\u2019s Dark Winds.<\/em><\/p>\n
