Universal Pictures dropped the first look at the 2024 action film during Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11. The video includes a glimpse [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1. Twister<\/em> was released on May 10, 1996, kicking off the summer blockbuster season in a big way.<\/p>\n

2. The film starred Hunt and Paxton as storm-chasing exes, with an early performance from Philip Seymour Hoffman<\/strong> as fan-favorite Dusty.<\/p>\n

5. According to de Bont, Crichton and Martin based the central relationship dynamic on the 1940 screwball comedy His Girl Friday<\/em>.<\/p>\n

6. Much of the film was shot on location in Oklahoma, giving it an authentic Tornado Alley backdrop.<\/p>\n

17. Twister<\/em> was a massive box office success, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of 1996 worldwide, behind Independence Day<\/em>.<\/p>\n
