Sosie Bacon<\/a> and her partner, Scoot McNairy, with the star later turning the painful ordeal into a comedy sketch for Instagram.<\/p>\nKevin has shared the story in a video posted to social media, recounting how the hike descended into chaos after the group spotted a beehive along the trail. <\/p>\n
Kevin said: \u201cSo I went for a hike the other day with Sosie and Scoot. Scoot was in the front, Sosie was in the middle, and I was holding up the rear.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cScoot points out to the left that there\u2019s a beehive over there. Sosie says, \u2018Dad, hey, there\u2019s a beehive. Watch out\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDespite trying to avoid the hive, Kevin joked the insects appeared to target him specifically.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cSo these bees, they must not have liked my work or something because they left the two of them alone, and they went full on after me: \u2018Let\u2019s attack KB.\u2019 <\/p>\n
\n\u201cBees stinging me everywhere, including underneath my shirt.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe actor, whose career spans more than four decades, added Sosie resisted the temptation to film the incident as it unfolded, instead recreating the moment afterwards for social media.<\/p>\n
\nKevin said: \u201cNow, it was very nice of my daughter to not take out her phone and start videoing this epic bee sting dance that I was doing. But I asked her if there was any way that she could recreate it from memory.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Instagram video then cut to Sosie reenacting the scene, wildly swinging her hat and pulling off her jumper while pretending to fend off imaginary bees.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThere\u2019s bees in there,\u201d Sosie said during the performance.<\/p>\n
\nKevin captioned the video: \u201cThe bees attack KB by @sosiebacon.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nKyra later joined in the joke in the comments section.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cSooooo gooood!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSosie replied: \u201cIt was nothing more nothing less than that very dance.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe incident comes as Kevin and his actress wife Kyra Sedgwick, 60, prepare for the release of Family Movie, the forthcoming comedy-horror project starring the couple alongside their children, Travis Bacon, 36, and Sosie, 34. <\/p>\n
\nTheir family collaboration has already attracted attention following its premiere at SXSW, while Kevin has also remained a fixture of pop culture thanks to renewed interest in classics including Apollo 13, A Few Good Men and the enduring phenomenon of the \u201cSix Degrees of Kevin Bacon\u201d game.<\/p>\n
\nKevin and Kyra first met while filming the television movie Lemon Sky in 1987 and married the following year. <\/p>\n
\nTheir relationship has long been viewed as one of Hollywood\u2019s more enduring marriages, with the pair frequently appearing together onscreen and on social media.<\/p>\n
\nTheir latest collaboration, Family Movie, marks the first time the entire Bacon family has appeared together in a feature film. <\/p>\n
\nAccording to the SXSW synopsis, the comedy-horror follows the Smith family as they attempt to make a low-budget horror film before discovering a real corpse on set.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to The Hollywood Reporter in March, Kevin said: \u201cThe whole time we were shooting, we kept going, \u2018God, this is just so great. This is so great.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cWhen we were in prep and as soon as we were all four of us together on site, it was better than I could have imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n
