Though they are not officially divorced yet, the former couple <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/03\/10\/the-valleys-brittany-cartwright-jax-taylor-reach-custody-child-support-agreement-amid-divorce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">finalized the custody agreement<\/a> for their 5-year-old son <strong>Cruz<\/strong> in March 2026, agreeing to share joint legal and physical custody.<\/p>\n<p>In a new interview with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/brittany-cartwright-interview-the-valley-season-3-exclusive-11969895\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People<\/a><\/em>, <strong>Brittany<\/strong> shared an update on co-parenting with <strong>Jax<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCo-parenting is not easy, but [<strong>Jax<\/strong>] loves his son,\u201d <strong>Brittany<\/strong> said. \u201c<strong>Cruz<\/strong> is going to come first, so the co-parenting stuff is actually okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While she admits that her relationship with <strong>Jax<\/strong> is an \u201cup-and-down battle\u201d and will \u201ctake a long time to heal,\u201d <strong>Brittany<\/strong> stressed that <strong>Cruz<\/strong> remains their main priority.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[<strong>Cruz<\/strong> is] thriving.
