Nick Cannon<\/strong><\/a> is addressing his daughter Monroe<\/strong>‘s viral comments.<\/p>\n

Back in November 2025, the 15-year-old daughter of the 45-year-old The Masked Singer<\/em> host and Mariah Carey<\/strong> went on her Instagram Story to say that she only has “ONE brother,” <\/a>referring to her twin brother Moroccan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Clearing something up guys! I only have ONE brother who is @moroccan.cannon,” Monroe<\/strong> wrote at the time. “I do have other half siblings from my dad but they are all many many years younger than me!\u201d<\/p>\n

As you probably know, Monroe<\/strong> has 10 other half-siblings from her dad\u2019s several other relationships.<\/p>\n

During a recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe<\/strong>‘s Club Shay Shay<\/em> podcast<\/a>, Nick<\/strong> clarified Monroe<\/strong>‘s comments, explaining that Monroe<\/strong> was saying that she only has one sibling close to her in age.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo my daughter wanted to clear it up, and be like, \u2018I only have one brother,\u2019 like literally in her age group,” Nick<\/strong> said, adding that Monroe<\/strong> was “upset” that people mistook her comment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe world jumped in on some teenage gossip conversation and tried to turn it into something else,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd then that upset my daughter. So she was like, \u2018I didn\u2019t mean that. I said my dad has other kids.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Nick<\/strong> then revealed the advice he shared with his eldest daughter about posting on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018Monroe, you don\u2019t have to explain yourself to anybody,\u2019\u201d he recalled. \u201c\u2018But let this be a lesson that you got to be very careful what you say on social media. People will take something very small and blow it up into something that you don\u2019t have control over anymore.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
