Kelly Clarkson <\/b><\/a>will return to The Voice <\/i><\/a>once more.<\/p>\n

\u201cTeam Kelly has RE-entered the chat,\u201d NBC wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Thursday, May 7. \u201cKelly Clarkson returns as a coach this fall on The Voice<\/i>!\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson, 44, appeared as a mentor on the hit singing competition from seasons 14 to 21. She briefly returned for season 23 before leaving the show upon her family\u2019s move from California to New York. The former American Idol <\/i>champ most recently appeared<\/span><\/a> on season 29, dubbed Battle of the Champions, which concluded last month.<\/p>\n

Clarkson\u2019s The Voice <\/i>return will follow the conclusion of her eponymous The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/i>, which is set to wrap later this year after seven seasons<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think everybody probably gets the timing,\u201d she said on the Today Show <\/i>in February. \u201cOur family life, the dynamic changed a bit, and it has changed for a minute now, so I think \u2026 it\u2019s one of those things when you kinda start seeing life with how it is precious, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson\u2019s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock<\/b>, died in 2025 after a private battle with cancer. He was 48. The former music manager is survived by his four children: River Rose, 11, and Remington, 9, whom he shared with Clarkson, as well as Savannah, 23, and Seth, 18, whom he shared with ex Melissa Ashworth.<\/b><\/p>\n

Clarkson took a hiatus from The Voice <\/i>and The Kelly Clarkson Show <\/i>immediately after Blackstock\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know everybody thinks, \u2018Oh, she\u2019s quitting,\u2019 but I still have other jobs. I\u2019m still doing stuff,\u201d she said on Today <\/i>about leaving her self-titled chat show. \u201cThere\u2019s just too much on the plate. I was like, \u2018You know what, It\u2019s time to kinda pull back.\u2019 It\u2019s amazing, that\u2019s what was really hard [because] the crew\u2019s been incredible. \u2026 That was a really hard thing for me, but an easy decision as a momma.\u201d<\/p>\n
