May we all be lucky enough to have a partner who hypes us up like Jason Ritter<\/strong><\/a> does for Melanie Lynskey<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMelanie is just so fun to work with,\u201d Ritter, 46 \u2014 who\u2019s shared the screen with Lynskey, 48, on multiple occasions \u2014 revealed exclusively in the latest issue of Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>, on newsstands now. \u201cShe\u2019s so brilliant. She is so funny. Every take is different. She\u2019s the kind of actor who makes your job easier, because you just have to watch her and listen to her and react off of her, because she\u2019s just so in the moment and [will] make anything better.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cShe\u2019s been doing it for so many years, and it\u2019s so exciting to see her in her career with Yellowjackets<\/em> and all these other amazing projects that she\u2019s been involved in to introduce her to a whole new generation of people. It\u2019s exciting because a lot of us have been fans of hers for many years.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple met while costarring in the 2013 dramedy The Big Ask<\/em>, sharing the screen twice more in 2014\u2019s We\u2019ll Never Have Paris<\/em> and 2016\u2019s The Intervention<\/em> before welcoming a daughter in 2018 and saying \u201cI do\u201d in 2020.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMelanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter\u2019s love story closely resembles a Hollywood romance \u2014 complete with a workplace meet-cute that led to their happily ever after. The duo first met while filming 2013\u2019s The Big Ask and went on to star in two more movies together before announcing in February 2017 that they got engaged. Less [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAny chance I get to work with Melanie, I will do it because, obviously, I love her very much, but she\u2019s also just such a fun scene partner,\u201d the Matlock<\/em> actor added. \u201cIt\u2019s just a dream.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ritter also made a cameo on Lynskey\u2019s show The Last of Us<\/em> in 2023. The actress joked to Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> at the time that the moment was \u201cso romantic,\u201d telling The Tonight Show<\/em> host, \u201cHe was a stunt person. He trained with the stunt people, and he just did all these amazing stunts. It\u2019s like his lifelong dream \u2026 I shot him once.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lynskey made an appearance in season 2 of her husband\u2019s show Matlock<\/em>, reprising her character for the penultimate episode last month.<\/p>\n

While the life of a beloved Hollywood couple may seem like all red carpet dates and glamour, the pair recently celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary with a simple parents\u2019 night out at their favorite restaurant.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything becomes so much about getting your kid to school and the afterschool events and playdates and all these things,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s so nice to be like, \u2018Oh, hey \u2014 how are you doing?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
