Josh Duggar<\/strong><\/a> is currently in prison, and a text message he sent to his mother, 19 Kids and Counting<\/em>‘s Michelle Duggar<\/strong><\/a>, has been unveiled. <\/p>\n

If you don’t know, Duggar <\/strong>was accused of sexually abusing five girls when he was a teenager, two of which were revealed to be his sisters Jill Duggar<\/strong> and Jessa Duggar<\/strong><\/a>. These allegations came to light in May of 2015. He was later convicted of receiving and possessing child pornography<\/a>. He was first arrested in 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s unclear exactly when he sent this message, but People<\/a><\/em> obtained the following text:<\/p>\n

“[I]ts (sic) hard to be here while everyone is out going and doing. its (sic) especially hard in light of how things have been since may 2015 when everything was devastated for [wife] Anna<\/a> <\/strong>and I,” he allegedly wrote.<\/p>\n

He said they were “devastated” when they were “cut off from public view on tv” and “kept at arm’s length by most of the family.” He claimed that “no one banded together to stand with us.”<\/p>\n

He added: “the public statements and pr work to save shows and public images i feel were placed above family relationships.”<\/p>\n

He claimed his mother was “worr[ied] more about pr than anything else.” <\/p>\n

He continued, “I am not trying to shift blame for anything , I am saying please consider your role and change so that other children are not in the same situations later.”<\/p>\n

He did say that his mom also offered support to him “privately,” but ultimately felt “it was as if there were 18 kids and life went on.”<\/p>\n

Previously, both of his parents Jim Bob <\/strong>and Michelle<\/strong>, spoke about Josh<\/strong>\u2018s sexual abuse<\/a> allegations.<\/p>\n
