Kadeem Hardison<\/strong><\/a> and Zendaya<\/strong><\/a> had a little reunion in Euphoria<\/em> season three!<\/p>\n

The 60-year-old actor and the 29-year-old actress previously starred as father and daughter nearly a decade ago on the Disney Channel series KC Undercover<\/em><\/a>, and reunited on the HBO series. <\/p>\n

In Euphoria<\/em>, Kadeem<\/strong> plays Big Eddy, who handles the money and more for Alamo at the strip club, where Rue starts working. <\/p>\n

Following the HBO series’ fourth episode this week, Kadeem<\/strong> opened up about reuniting with Zendaya<\/strong> all these years later. <\/p>\n

What did Kadeem Hardison say about working with Zendaya again? <\/h3>\n

Z and I go back to\u00a0K.C. Undercover<\/em>, and when we both left there, we were eager to see if we could really act \u2014 like, let\u2019s get off a Disney show and get some meat and see if we can still chew. She went to\u00a0Euphoria<\/em>\u00a0and I went to\u00a0Teenage Bounty Hunters<\/em>\u00a0or something like that. She invited me to the premiere, and I remember being wildly uncomfortable watching that as an adult with all these kids. I was like, \u201cOh my God, is this what happens with the kids now? Is that what the kids are going through? This is crazy!\u201d It introduced me to a world I had no idea existed. – Kadeem via THR<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

I met Sam [Levinson], visited the set and we had a couple of dinners. He was probably interested in figuring out if we could do something and then boom, next thing you know it happened. I got a call last year, \u201cHey, come on in and read for you Euphoria<\/em>.\u201d I was like, \u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She had a little Christmas dinner or Thanksgiving dinner and she said, \u201cCome on by.\u201d And she was like, \u201cYou\u2019ve got to meet.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Though Zendaya introduced them, Kadeem still had to audition for his role!<\/h3>\n
\n

Straight audition, not even like \u201cwe\u2019ve been thinking about\u201d or anything. Just like a regular audition: Here\u2019s an appointment, here\u2019s the time. I read the sides. I got an idea of what they wanted me to do, prepared, went in \u2014 and it was a live audition, which I hadn\u2019t had in, Jesus, in years. Casting director in a room, the old school way. Maybe three weeks later they called and said, \u201cWe\u2019ve just got to clear it with\u00a0HBO\u00a0and clear it with this one and clear it with that one.\u201d It was one read and locked up.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kadeem was excited to share scenes with Zendaya <\/h3>\n

I always wanted to be on HBO \u2014 and time was ticking (Laughs<\/em>). I was like, \u201cDamn, I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m ever being on an HBO show.\u201d So this was a no-brainer, especially if I was going to get a chance to be in scenes with Z. From the sides I was like, \u201cWell, I\u2019m hoping this is her that I\u2019m talking to.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The actor also shared what was different about working with her then vs now<\/h3>\n

For lack of a better phrase, she\u2019s still the same guy. She\u2019s always been that person and she\u2019s always been a boss. I was really impressed with how much of a boss she was when I met her when she was 16 or 17. I was impressed that she was the executive producer on the show we were doing then \u2014 and so, to turn around and find out she\u2019s still operating in that capacity and just kind of expanded it to films and everything else? Yeah. She\u2019s a little less goofy \u2014 a\u00a0little<\/em>\u00a0less goofy. As a kid, she was pretty goofy and we would kid each other a lot and now she\u2019s matured a little bit. But she has her goofy side. I call her my little big sister \u2014 the more mature one between the two of us, but I\u2019m the older one.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She shocks me every time. I knew she was good when we were doing\u00a0K.C.<\/em>, but I didn\u2019t know she had that kind of depth to go to \u2014 and she didn\u2019t know I had it either. It was like, \u201cShit, I\u2019ve got to catch up because she\u2019s running away with it.\u201d She\u2019s really one of my favorite actors to watch, especially since I know her and know that she\u2019s not really Rue and she wasn\u2019t really K.C. Her instincts are top-notch.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
