Justin Baldoni<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and Blake Lively<\/span><\/a><\/strong> have reached a settlement in their highly contentious It Ends With Us<\/i> lawsuit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe end product \u2013 the movie It Ends With Us<\/i> \u2013 is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors \u2013 and all survivors \u2013 is a goal that we stand behind,\u201d Lively, 38, and Baldoni, 42, said in a statement to Us Weekly<\/em> via their attorneys on Monday, May 4. \u201cWe acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued, \u201cWe remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.\u201d<\/p>\n

The settlement comes as both parties appeared to be<\/a> preparing for their upcoming trial, with jury selection expected to begin on Monday, May 18.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBlake Lively\u2019s alleged feud with director and costar Justin Baldoni on the set of It Ends With Us exploded into multiple lawsuits in 2025. The former Gossip Girl star kicked off the legal battle by filing a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department and subsequently sued Baldoni over sexual harassment allegations. Baldoni\u2019s lawyer Bryan [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman<\/strong>, however, previously recommended that both parties consider settling<\/span><\/a> outside of court before a trial was scheduled to begin.<\/p>\n

Lively and Baldoni\u2019s legal drama<\/span><\/a> began in December 2024, when the actress accused her It Ends With Us<\/i> costar and director of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and purposefully creating a smear campaign targeting the actress<\/p>\n

Lively sued Baldoni, his publicity team and a series of other defendants, alleging that she was retaliated against for coming forward with her sexual harassment allegations.<\/p>\n

Baldoni strongly denied the allegations throughout the legal battle and counter-sued Lively. In June 2025, however, a judge dismissed his lawsuit<\/span><\/a> against the actress.<\/p>\n

In April, Lively faced her own legal setback when Liman ruled that most of the Gossip Girl<\/i><\/span><\/a> alum\u2019s legal claims against Baldoni would be dismissed<\/span><\/a>. Some of the charges that were dismissed included allegations of harassment, defamation and conspiracy.<\/p>\n

The U.S. District Judge in Manhattan allowed three claims to proceed to a trial, including claims of breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting in retaliation.<\/p>\n
