Piers Morgan<\/a>, 58, said moments after he read the news Sarah had cancer he texted her and she replied: \u201cTime to heal and nurture me now!\u201d<\/p>\nThe former \u2018America\u2019s Got Talent\u2019 judge added Sarah also said: \u201cHopefully caught in time x thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n
Piers revealed the texts in his column for The Sun on Monday (26.06.23) night, in which he added about Sarah\u2019s vow to look after herself in the wake of surgery: \u201cIt was the first time I\u2019d ever heard her speak about the need to put herself before others, and it took a life-threatening moment to do it. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s typical of her to instantly try to turn such a negative experience into a positive, but very untypical of her to suspend her astoundingly selfless instincts and focus instead on helping herself. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m very glad she is though, because the world\u2019s a better place with a healthy vibrant Sarah Ferguson in it. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cShe\u2019s one of my favourite people; incredibly kind and empathetic, absurdly generous, endearingly modest, hilariously fun-loving, and ferociously loyal. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cYes, she\u2019s flawed and prone to dropping massive clangers, but so are all my favourite people.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nRecalling their initial meeting, Piers added: \u201cI first met \u2018Fergie\u2019 in 1996 at the instigation of Princess Diana who begged me to \u2018go a bit easier\u2019 on her scandal-engulfed sister-in-law when I was editor of the Daily Mirror. <\/p>\n
\n\u201c\u2018She\u2019s her own worst enemy,\u2019 I said. \u2018I know,\u2019 sighed Diana, \u2018but she means well, she has a big heart.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSarah said on her \u2018Tea Talks\u2019 podcast: \u201cTomorrow I\u2019m going in for a mastectomy… I have to go through this operation, and I have to be well and strong. And therefore, no choice is the best choice. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m going to go out there and get super, super well \u2013 super strong.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nSarah \u2013 who has daughters Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 33, with her 63-year-old former husband Prince Andrew \u2013 added she was grateful for her diagnosis as it has forced her to focus on herself instead of other people. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI taking this as a gift to make real changes for myself and to nurture myself and stop trying to fix everyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
