Jake Paul<\/strong><\/a> responded to his former Disney Channel costar Olivia Rodrigo<\/strong><\/a> mentioning him in her Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> opening monologue.<\/p>\n

During the Saturday, May 2, episode<\/a> of SNL<\/em>, Rodrigo, 23, had spoken about starring in Disney\u2019s Bizaardvark<\/em> as a 13-year-old alongside Paul, 29, telling the crowd that she and the boxer \u201calways talked about our futures\u201d together. She then joked, \u201cI\u2019d say, \u2018I really wanna create music that explores the complexities of girls my age,\u2019 and he\u2019d say, \u2018Well, one day I really wanna beat up old guys on Netflix.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Paul took to X the following day to address the comment, which seemingly referenced his 2024 Netflix boxing match against Mike Tyson<\/strong>. \u201cWe had the vision \u2026 I told you that you would sell stadiums out and then we both did \u2026 proud of you fr [for real],\u201d Paul wrote.<\/p>\n

The post attracted a fan reply, which noted, \u201cI think he didn\u2019t get that she laughed at him and not with him.\u201d The fan comment sparked further reflection from Paul. \u201cI got that she was making a joke at my expense. So what. She\u2019s on SNL<\/em> and that\u2019s what they are supposed to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOlivia Rodrigo brought the laughs (and proved her style star status) when she made a surprise appearance in a Saturday Night Live sketch. The singer, 20, served as the musical guest for the Saturday, December 9, episode of the NBC sketch comedy series, while Adam Driver hosted. In addition to performing her songs \u201cVampire\u201d and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Paul concluded, \u201cDoesn\u2019t change my admiration of her [Rodrigo] and her success.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodrigo\u2019s monologue had also poked fun at Paul\u2019s acting ability. \u201cWhen I was 13, I was on a Disney show called Bizaardvark<\/em> and we had an incredible cast which included acting legend Jake Paul,\u201d the singer said, which drew laughter from the crowd.<\/p>\n

Paul starred on Bizaardvark<\/em>, which premiered in 2016 when he was 19 years old, for 18 months while Rodrigo worked on the show for its entire three-season run. Rodrigo portrayed one of the show\u2019s main characters Paige Olvera, while Paul served as a series regular named Dirk Mann.<\/p>\n
