The release date for Greta Gerwig<\/strong><\/a>‘s new movie has been announced!<\/p>\n

On Friday (May 1), Netflix announced that the 42-year-old Oscar-nominated filmmaker’s upcoming project, Narnia: The Magician\u2019s Nephew<\/strong>,<\/em> will release in IMAX and wide globally in theaters on February 12, 2027 followed by a release on Netflix on April 2, 2027.<\/p>\n

Written for the screen and directed by Greta<\/strong>, “the origin story for Narnia is the first ever adaptation of C. S. Lewis<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0The Magician\u2019s Nephew<\/em>\u00a0\u2014 which was published May 2, 1955 and celebrates its 71st anniversary tomorrow \u2014 and pairs newcomers David McKenna<\/strong> and Beatrice Campbell<\/strong> with an all-star cast that includes Emma Mackey<\/strong>, Carey Mulligan<\/strong>, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith<\/strong> with Daniel Craig<\/strong> and Meryl Streep<\/strong>, and more. Lewis<\/strong>\u2019 book series captured Gerwig<\/strong>\u2019s imagination from a very young age, and she\u2019s beyond thrilled to bring her singular vision to this beloved world.”<\/p>\n
