David Gandy<\/a> thinks he needs to take style lessons from fellow dads on the school run.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The 46-year-old model – who has Matilda, seven, and Tabitha, four, with partner Stephanie Mendoros – may be regarded as one of the world’s most fashionable men, but he insisted he is a “bit of a mess” when dropping his kids off in the morning so doesn’t think any of the other parents feel they need to up their sartorial game alongside him.<\/p>\n
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: \u201cActually I\u2019m the one who looks a bit of a mess. I\u2019m generally winning if I have the same pair of shoes on. In fact, I look at the other dads and they\u2019re pretty impeccable. I need some lessons from them.\u201d<\/p>\n
One of David’s most famous modelling jobs was his Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue ads with Jennifer Lopez, but he joked fellow holidaymakers are in for a disappointment if they expect to see him rocking skimpy swimwear by the pool these days.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cI\u2019ve never actually been a Speedos guy myself. That wasn\u2019t me; that was playing the character of a wonderful Mediterranean man for a moment. <\/p>\n
\n“But if people expect that person, they need to bear in mind that that was 2007, so they\u2019re going to be sorely disappointed these days.”<\/p>\n
\nDavid isn’t interested in trends and favours “classic” staples in his wardrobe instead.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cBy this age you tend to know what works and know what fits, every time I try and get into a \u2018trend’, I always just revert back to classic, timeless clothes. I can\u2019t do trends.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nEarlier this week, David joined model Leomie Anderson at the launch of Il Fresco di Peroni, an Italian Renaissance-inspired optical illusion artwork in London’s Covent Garden.<\/p>\n
\nThe 3D artwork, which was created by Joy! Collective, is an immersive experience where visitors can step into the hand-painted scene, sit at the table for a live apertitivo moment and enjoy a free half pint of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, which is poured directly from the creative. T<\/p>\n
\nDavid said: \u201cThe ritual of Aperitivo is a beautiful occasion to stop and savour the moment with a great drink, quality food and company. As a globally recognised symbol of effortless Italian style, it has been wonderful to partner with Peroni Nastro Azzurro on such a dynamic experience. They\u2019ve turned pouring a beer into a work of art and I\u2019m thrilled to have been one of the first to experience it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe installation is open until Saturday (02.05.26) at 8pm.<\/p>\n
