The 66-year-old actor – who is best known for playing Luther Stickell in the Mission: Impossible movie series – was enjoying lunch with his family in Los Angeles when he passed out at his table.<\/p>\n
Sources told TMZ that Ving appeared to be in and out of consciousness and was taken to hospital by paramedics.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for LA City Fire confirmed to the outlet that a call for medical aid came in for a male in his 60s at around 1.40pm and the patient was taken to a medical facility.<\/p>\n
The Pulp Fiction actor’s representative spoke with the actor and it is believed he got “overheated” and will be fine, but it still in the hospital for observation.<\/p>\n
\nLast month, Ving heaped praise on his Mission: Impossible co-star Tom Cruise, who left him feeling “very moved”.<\/p>\n
\nHe told Fox News Digital: “[What surprised me about him?] I\u2019d say the fact that Tom Cruise does not see colour.<\/p>\n
\n“To work with a Caucasian actor who really didn\u2019t see colour, I was very moved by the experience.<\/p>\n
\n“[My favourite memories] are talking to him off-stage. Learning secrets he knew about the industry that he was able to talk to me about.”<\/p>\n
\nThe biggest lesson Tom passed on to his co-stars was to “treat each person fairly” and it is a principle which has served Ving well over the years.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “[One big piece of advice is] to be in Hollywood, not of Hollywood. And that’s just from years of experience.”<\/p>\n
\nTom is known for pushing the limits with his stunts but his co-star always felt comfortable.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “Tom Cruise made it quite safe for us.”<\/p>\n
\nThe actor also fronts History’s Deadliest with Ving Rhames and admitted he was surprised by some of the disturbing stories he learned while filming the History Channel show.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “We did an episode about something that happened in China.<\/p>\n
\n“I was affected because I really thought about how many people were affected by this [natural catastrophe]. If that happened in America, how would it have affected me? But I hope [these stories] will give knowledge. And I hope that the knowledge I get from it will make me a fuller human being.”<\/p>\n
\n“Never put anything past man \u2014 that\u2019s what I would say to [viewers]. History repeats itself.”<\/p>\n
