The American Pie star recently launched her own account on the adult subscription site – which enables content creators to monetise their posts, be it photos and videos – and revealed she wants to show off her “sexy side” and connect with fans.<\/p>\n
A source has told PEOPLE magazine that after launching her page on April 16 she has brought in “more than seven figures”.<\/p>\n
The insider added that the 52-year-old star “is really making a name for herself” on the platform, while it’s noted her content does not include full nudity.<\/p>\n
The source said: “She is super happy she now gets to take control and be engaged with her fans.”<\/p>\n
\nThe description for Shannon’s account promises that fans will discover what she’s “really like”.<\/p>\n
\nThe intro reads: “Here you’ll find the side of me that doesn’t make it into movies \u2014 more playful, spontaneous, and completely unscripted.<\/p>\n
\n“If you’ve ever been curious what I’m really like\u2026 You’re about to find out.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShannon recently told PEOPLE that she wanted to take back control of the “narrative” around her.<\/p>\n
\nShe explained: “I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career. <\/p>\n
\n“This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”<\/p>\n
\nOnlyFans will allow the star to easily connect with her audience and legion of fans.<\/p>\n
\nShe continued: “I’m choosing OnlyFans because it allows me to connect directly with my audience, create on my own terms, and just be free. I really do think this is the future.”<\/p>\n
\nShannon shot to fame playing the highly attractive foreign exchange student Nadia in the 1999 comedy film American Pie, in which a group of high school pals try to lose their virginity before graduation.<\/p>\n
\nAnd the actress – who reprised her alter ego for the sequel in 2001 – was thrilled to be cast in the Paul Weitz-directed movie after a tough audition process.<\/p>\n
\nShannon recently recalled to Fox News Digital: “The audition process for \u2018American Pie\u2019 was difficult. I was scared. I was really scared. And in the audition, it was the opposite of what you saw in the movie. I had to dance for Jason [Biggs] instead of him dancing for me.<\/p>\n
\n“I\u2019d never done anything that big. But I was auditioning a lot at the time, and I was so excited when I got the role.”<\/p>\n
\nShannon said the role was easy to play as she’s “done so much modelling” at that point.<\/p>\n
\nHowever, Shannon is not always “super comfortable” in her own skin, and she tends to be “quite a shy person” unless she needs to “flip a switch” for a certain role.<\/p>\n
\nAnd Nadia – who had a big crush on Jim Levenstein (Jason) – was very different to Shannon’s real life personality.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Entertainment Tonight: “For me, it was a role, it was playing a character. But even in my real life, I’m just not the girl who likes to be naked, ever.<\/p>\n
\n“Even at home, I’m always covered up. Like I have friends that sleep in the nude, and they don’t mind walking around that way. That was never me, but because that was kind of my coming out, everyone assumed I was that girl.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, after launching her OnlyFans, Shannon confirmed she is no longer in relationship with Simon Borchert – who she married in 2021 after six years together – having separated several months ago.<\/p>\n
\nShannon told Us Weekly magazine: \u201cI\u2019ve been separated since September of last year, and this has been a thoughtful, ongoing process-not something that happened in the past few days.<\/p>\n
\n“The meaningful pieces are already behind me, and only the formalities remain… This is a new chapter for me, and it\u2019s one I\u2019m genuinely excited about. I feel stronger, clearer, and happier than I have in a very long time.\u201d<\/p>\n
