Nikki Garcia<\/strong><\/a> had the most relatable reason for ultimately deciding to back out of her Baywatch<\/em><\/a> audition.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had an audition for Baywatch. I ended up not doing it,\u201d Nikki, 42, revealed to her listeners on the Monday, April 27, episode of her and sister Brie Garcia<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0SiriusXM \u201cThe Nikki and Brie Show<\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cBecause I knew that I would not be comfortable wearing \u2014 if I was to get it \u2014 I would not be comfortable wearing a red swimsuit 24\/7.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nikki added, \u201cI am not confident yet in a swimsuit, so I didn\u2019t do it. What I\u2019ve learned is I have to put myself in positions of, like, where I feel most confident.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pro wrestler<\/a> pointed to her WWE costumes and years of experience walking into the ring<\/a> as some of her most powerful moments.<\/p>\n

As fans of the original Baywatch<\/em> know, the series ran from 1989 to 2001<\/a>. It centered on the lives of California lifeguards, with the men iconically wearing red trunks while the women rocked sexy, red one piece swimsuits with a high-rise leg line as they ran up and down the beach \u2014 often, and iconically, in slow-motion.<\/p>\n

In September 2025, Fox announced it is working on a reimagined version of the hit TV series<\/a>. Stephen Amell<\/strong> is set to lead the revamped show, with Brooks Nader<\/strong>, Noah Beck<\/strong> and Shay Mitchell<\/strong> all securring regular roles.<\/p>\n

While Nikki isn\u2019t ready to slip into a red swimsuit for the show, she did get real about the highs and lows people can experience with \u201cnegative self-talk\u201d and being confident in their bodies during a Q&A segment of the podcast, which she hosted solo on Monday during Brie\u2019s absence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s one that I feel like we\u2019re always going to have to work on. I feel like it\u2019s so easy to talk negative about ourselves,\u201d Nikki said. \u201cI still do it to myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Total Bellas<\/em> alum<\/a> admitted that it\u2019s \u201creally hard to be confident\u201d these days since there\u2019s \u201csocial media telling us how we should look.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nikki advised that her fans try to block out the online noise and focus on themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the main part of getting confidence is just working on yourself and self-love,\u201d she continued. \u201cThe minute you love yourself you\u2019re not going to care what people think.\u201d<\/p>\n
