The actor, 28, who rose to prominence in HBO\u2019s shock teen drama and has since appeared in films such as Saltburn and Priscilla, will be at the centre of the sequence playing Nate alongside Sydney, also 28, with the shock scene forming part of the show\u2019s highly anticipated third season, which continues to generate headlines over its graphic storytelling. <\/p>\n
The sequence introduces a new character, Naz, played by Jack Topalian, whose storyline intersects with Nate\u2019s as a creditor demanding repayment of a substantial debt. <\/p>\n
Describing the filming process, Jack was quoted by Page Six saying: \u201cThere\u2019s a cutting of a particular body part that my character takes great pleasure in doing.\u201d <\/p>\n
He added the production used a prosthetic for Jacob in the scene, explaining: \u201cThe clippers that they gave me have pretty sharp edges. So I had to be really mindful of that, because at one point, I do put it around Jake\u2019s toe.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe continued: \u201cIf I squeezed a little too hard, it would literally cut his toe. But, everything turned out well! There were no mishaps, no accidents.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIn the episode, Nate is shown under pressure before his wedding, experiencing a panic attack as he avoids calls from Naz. After marrying Cassie, the tension escalates when Naz confronts him at the reception, warning he will become his \u201cworst nightmare\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nThe storyline culminates in a violent sequence in which Nate is attacked in his home by Naz\u2019s associate, played by former NFL player Matt Willig, before the mutilation injury is inflicted.<\/p>\n
\nJack also described the physical demands of the scene, noting Jacob carried out much of the action himself. <\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of physicality involved with Jacob and Matthew. Jacob did a lot of his own stunts.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cThat\u2019s (Jacob) really doing the struggling and the fighting and the falling and all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDespite the intensity of the sequence, Jack added the atmosphere on set remained relaxed. <\/p>\n
\nHe said Jacob was \u201ccommitted,\u201d \u201cgiving,\u201d and \u201cprepared,\u201d adding: \u201cBetween scenes, he\u2019s back to being Jacob.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nJack continued: \u201cObviously, he gets back into character really quickly, but once (the director calls \u2018cut\u2019) even though he\u2019s been beaten and abused, he\u2019s still having a lot of fun. He\u2019s still cracking jokes and doing things like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJack, who has also appeared in series such as The Blacklist and Bosch, said he brought his daughter Elizabeth to the set, where she met Jacob and Sydney. <\/p>\n
\nHe said they were \u201cwarm\u201d and \u201cgracious and welcoming\u201d.<\/p>\n
