Jodie Sweetin<\/strong><\/a> is sharing an update on where she stands with Full House<\/em> co-stars Mary-Kate<\/strong><\/a> and Ashley Olsen<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n When the hit ABC sitcom first premiered in 1987, Jodie<\/strong> was 5-years-old while the Olsen Twins<\/strong> were six-months-old.<\/p>\n During her recent appearance on The McBride Rewind Podcast<\/a><\/em>, Jodie<\/strong>, now 44, said that she had a genuine bond with Mary-Kate<\/strong> and Ashley<\/strong>, now 39, as they all grew up together over the course of the show\u2019s 8-season run.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cI loved them,\u201d Jodie<\/strong> told host Josh McBride<\/strong>. \u201cI was really close to Ashley and Mary-Kate\u2026 I would go to their room and hang out and play with them.\u201d <\/p>\n Off set, Jodie<\/strong> said that \u201cthey would come spend the night at my house. They\u2019d come to my cabin on the weekends with my parents and I. We\u2019d go horseback riding. We would go to Disneyland. I mean, I\u2019ve got pictures of us playing dress up at my house; they\u2019re like three, I\u2019m like six, you know, just kid stuff and I loved it.\u201d <\/p>\n After Full House<\/em> ended in 1995, the Olsen Twins<\/strong> went on to star in multiple movies together before retiring from acting and taking over the fashion world. As for Jodie<\/strong>, she struggled with substance abuse addiction before ultimately getting sober in 2008.<\/p>\n In the two decades since Full House<\/em> ended, the three \u201chaven\u2019t talked\u201d as their lives went in different directions, Jodie<\/strong> shared.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople are like, \u2018Oh, well, do you guys not talk? Is it bad?\u2019 They were 8 years old when the show finished. We weren\u2019t as close as we were,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe would see each other at, you know, our family events and dinners and it wasn\u2019t like there was bad blood between any of us, but they moved to New York and then, you know, got married and were a fashion empire and sort of moved into that world and, you know, so it was like we just sort of drifted apart.\u201d <\/p>\n Jodie<\/strong> did note that she would occasionally see Mary-Kate<\/strong> and Ashley<\/strong> over the years, but it wasn\u2019t until Bob Saget<\/strong>\u2018s death in 2022 that the entire Full House<\/em> cast reunited.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it was just like it was before,\u201d Jodie<\/strong> recalled. \u201cIt was normal. We all, you know, spent like four days just constantly together\u2026 and it was like nothing had changed.\u201d <\/p>\n Also in the new interview, Jodie<\/strong> addressed her complicated relationship with Candace Cameron Bure<\/strong> as they sit on opposite ends of the political spectrum, with Candace<\/strong> being a conservative Christian while Jodie<\/strong> is an outspoken support of the LGBTQ+ community and reproductive rights.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is just who I am and what I believe, and if that isn\u2019t something we share, cool,\u201d Jodie<\/strong> said of Candace<\/strong>. \u201cI\u2019m not going to change anything. I can still have a relationship with her where I can hug her when I see her. I love her. I don\u2019t want bad things to happen to her.
