Justin Theroux<\/a> hopes he can resist the urge to “spoil” his baby son.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Justin Theroux recently became a dad<\/p>\n
The 54-year-old actor and wife Nicole Brydon Bloom welcomed a baby boy into the world earlier this month and while his spouse was keen to try to establish routines and boundaries with the tot, the Running Point star is having to fight against his instincts to indulge the little one.<\/p>\n
Asked what type of dad he thinks he’ll be, Justin told The Kelly Clarkson show guest host Willie Geist: “I’m going to be terrible in that I’m already wanting to spoil [him], like I want nothing more than him to sleep next to me.<\/p>\n
“I’m sure everyone who has kids has had that feeling where all I want to do is just \u2014 if he’s feeling upset, pull him into bed.<\/p>\n
“My wife is wanting to do sleep training, [and] we have a whole bunch of things, but I think I’m going to want to spoil him rotten.<\/p>\n
\n“That’ll be the hardest thing to resist.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Leftovers star feels “fantastic” since becoming a father and already feels parenthood has changed him.<\/p>\n
\nHe gushed: “It’s difficult to encapsulate, obviously, in any amount of time, but I feel fantastic. It’s really beautiful.<\/p>\n
\n“Someone was smart enough to … remind me to remind myself when he was born to put myself in my body and recognise that moment when he came out. <\/p>\n
\n“And you do feel like your DNA just starts flipping in a different way the minute you lay eyes on him. It’s a beautiful, beautiful thing.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Devil Wears Prada 2 actor previously admitted fathrhood was “so much better” than he had imagined it to be.<\/p>\n
\nHe recently gushed on Today: \u201cIt’s so much better [than I imagined].<\/p>\n
\n“And, of course, I’ve been told by other fathers, \u2018Wait \u2018til you see this child. You’re gonna fall in love.’ <\/p>\n
\n“And you still always have that little moment of, \u2018Is that really going to happen?’ and the minute he appears, your whole life just starts to revolve around this thing, and your heart just opens up in a beautiful way. So I’m really happy, really happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
