\t\t<\/p>\n Freida McFadden<\/strong><\/a> is singing her praises for Sydney Sweeney<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n On Thursday night (April 23), the 45-year-old author stepped out for the 2026 TIME100 Gala <\/em>in New York City.<\/p>\n In an interview on the red carpet, Freida<\/strong> said that the 28-year-old Emmy-nominated actress was \u201cexactly\u201d what she imagined when she was writing the 2022 novel The Housemaid<\/em>, which filmmaker Paul Feig<\/strong> adapted into a movie last year.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cShe has the right vibe,\u201d Freida <\/strong>told Us Weekly<\/a><\/em>. \u201cShe has this great energy and passion.\u201d<\/p>\n In the movie, Sydney<\/strong> played protagonist Millie, a young woman with a troubled past, who becomes a live-in maid for a wealthy family whose house hides dark secrets. The movie also starred Amanda Seyfried<\/strong> and Brandon Sklenar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In March, it was announced that Kirsten Dunst<\/strong> will be starring alongside Sydney<\/strong> in the sequel, The Housemaid\u2019s Secret<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so excited about it,\u201d Freida<\/strong> said of the sequel. \u201cWe have Kirsten Dunst, who I\u2019ve been a fan of pretty much my whole life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s gonna [have] completely new twists, completely new family, and I think it\u2019s gonna surprise people,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Paul Feig<\/strong> will return to direct the sequel, which does not yet have a confirmed release date.<\/p>\n If you didn\u2019t see, Freida<\/strong> finally revealed her real name<\/a> after years of using a pseudonym and wearing a disguise.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
