For those unfamiliar with <em>Sister Wives<\/em>, she added: \u201cShe is my dad\u2019s first wife.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued: \u201cI do not like her \u2026 she was mean growing up.\u201d Mykelti then added that Meri \u201cstill is\u201d mean, even now.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Inside SISTER WIVES: What It\u2019s REALLY Like Being Kody Brown\u2019s Daughter (ft. She was manipulative,\u201d she listed.<\/p>\n<p>Remember how Christine realized that she was the \u201cbasement wife\u201d of the family? Meri\u2019s position, until Robyn, was the opposite.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was the favorite wife,\u201d Mykelti described. \u201cAnd she got the favorite wife privileges and perks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> But Meri still had the responsibility of watching the family\u2019s children. Just don\u2019t hurt me, don\u2019t be mean to me. Don\u2019t yell at me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>(Mykelti does not bring up specific allegations of physical abuse, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/02\/mykelti-brown-backlash-meri-brown-allegations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">she has admitted<\/a> that she watches her words on this topic to avoid consequences for her family and their show.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe had this, like, scream she would do [when] she wasn\u2019t getting her way and it was, like, pure loud and angry and just scary,\u201d she described.<\/p>\n<p>Mykelti elaborated: \u201cIt was like what you would imagine a freaking dragon screaming at a little child. Think about that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That sounds like both toxic behavior and a sign of a disturbed and emotionally immature individual.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Kody &amp; Meri&#039;s Relationship Post-Breakup | Sister Wives | TLC\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Lu0u23AHd1Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>According to Mykelti, when Meri was in charge, they all got \u201cseverely disciplined, talked down to, grounded.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, many <em>Sister Wives<\/em> fans \u2014 and others \u2014 might be asking why the Brown kids didn\u2019t simply talk to the other sister wives, especially their biological mothers, about it.<\/p>\n<p>Over time, Mykelti explained, they learned to not bring it up, because nothing changed. It seemed like none of the parents wanted to hear it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey didn\u2019t talk about it [and say], \u2018No, no, that\u2019s not OK for any parent to do that,\u2019\u201d she lamented. Kody, she said, also seemed to brush it off.<\/p>\n<p>This is actually extremely common in families when there\u2019s one bad parent. That definitely included Meri.<\/p>\n<p>It is heartbreaking that Mykelti and her siblings had to go through that.
