President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> sounded off about Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s calls to end the war in Ukraine before King Charles<\/strong>\u2019 visit to the United States next week.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrince Harry? How\u2019s he doing? How\u2019s his wife?\u201d Trump, 79, quipped during an Oval Office press conference<\/a> on Thursday, April 23, referring to Meghan Markle<\/strong>. \u201cPlease give her my regards.\u201d<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s sarcastic response came hours after Harry, 41, made a surprise visit to Ukraine on Thursday to speak at the Kyiv Security Forum. Harry specifically called on the U.S. to take more direct action to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, though he did not specifically mention Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe United States has a singular role in this story,\u201d Harry said<\/a> at the Kyiv Security Forum. \u201cNot only because of its power, but because when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons, America was part of the assurance that Ukraine\u2019s sovereignty and borders would be respected.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPresident Donald Trump was apparently trying to get some hot gossip from Queen Camilla during his trip to the U.K. last month. Royal expert Tom Sykes reported in his The Royalist Substack on Thursday, October 16, that Trump, 79, allegedly brought up Meghan Markle around the royal family. \u201cWhat\u2019s the gossip on Meghan then? What\u2019s [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Duke of Sussex went on, \u201cThis is a moment for American leadership. A moment for America to show that it can honor its international treaty obligations, not out of charity, but out of its own enduring role in global security and strategic stability.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump was later asked in the Oval Office about Harry\u2019s calls for more direct U.S. involvement in the Russia-Ukraine peace process.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know one thing: Prince Harry is not speaking for the U.K. That\u2019s for sure,\u201d Trump declared. \u201cI think I\u2019m speaking for the U.K. more than Prince Harry. But I appreciate his advice.\u201d<\/p>\n

The conflict has raged on and off since 2014 but intensified in February 2022 when Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine. Trump campaigned in 2024 on ending the war \u201con day one\u201d<\/a> of his second administration but hostilities continue to this day.<\/p>\n

There have long been reported tensions between Trump and the Sussexes over political differences. During his state visit to the U.K. in September 2025, Trump seemingly threw shade<\/a> when he left Harry and Markle out of his speech at a state banquet hosted at Windsor Castle.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to say that His Majesty has also raised a remarkable son in His Royal Highness, Prince of Wales. Really amazing,\u201d Trump said at the time. \u201cWe\u2019ve gotten to know you and I think you\u2019re going to have unbelievable success in future.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex, 41, compared Britain\u2019s aristocracy to the soapy period drama Downton Abbey in tongue-in-cheek fashion during an appearance at the British-American Business Council\u2019s annual Christmas luncheon in Santa Monica, California, on Friday, December 5, according to People. The politician added, \u201cMelania and I are delighted to visit again with Prince William and to see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine, so radiant and so healthy, so beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n

In December 2025, Harry lobbed a zinger at Trump during a surprise appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em> as he joked about royal-themed Christmas movies<\/a>.<\/p>\n
