Conservative grifter, so-called comedian, and overall vile human being Russell Brand<\/b> appeared on the like-minded podcaster and former FOX News personality Megyn Kelly<\/b>‘s YouTube show, The Megyn Kelly Show<\/i>, this week and declared that he had a “consensual” yet “exploitative” sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl<\/b>.<\/p>\n
You can read his statements under the cut. Brand is currently facing legal battles over extensive rape and sexual assault claims stemming from an investigation launched in September of 2023.<\/p>\n
“The plain fact of it is, in Europe and in the United Kingdom, where I\u2019m from, the age of consent is 16. And I did sleep with a 16-year-old when I was 30 … But when I was 30, I was a very different person. I was a lot younger, and I was an immature 30-year-old.<\/b>“<\/p>\n“It is exploitative … Consensual sex with a lot of people, when there is a strong power differential, as there is when you are a famous man who has the ability to attract women that I had at that time, I think involves exploitation.”<\/p>\n
“I recognize that my sexual conduct in the past was selfish. I did not apply enough consideration \u2014 barely any, I suppose, really \u2014 to how that sex was affecting other people.”
