To try to refine them further would risk <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sanewashing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sanewashing<\/a><\/em>.)<\/p>\n<p>But he also described an encounter with a girl about half his age. He was 30. It\u2019s at least as bad as you think.<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Image Credit: YouTube)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Brand also characterized his trials as a \u201cblessing\u201d or a thing for which to feel gratitude.<\/p>\n<p>Or, more specifically, he discussed how trials \u2014 a general term for obstacles or difficult times \u2014 can be a blessing, and then acted as if his legal battles over alleged rapes and sexual assaults fit the same criteria.<\/p>\n<p>There are those who believe that Brand\u2019s public and somewhat abrupt hard-right shift several years ago was a preemptive response to knowing that lawsuits and criminal investigations were coming, as conservative audiences tend to be more receptive to accused sexual predators.<\/p>\n<p>However, it is entirely possible \u2014 and perhaps more likely \u2014 that his conservative pivot is an earnest reflection of who he really is.<\/p>\n<p>Brand is facing a slew of legal battles (and many wonder if more will come).
