She was only<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2017\/02\/03\/patton-oswalt-reveals-his-wifes-cause-of-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> 46 years old when she passed in 2016<\/a>. They had one child, a daughter named <strong>Alice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On Threads, he posted, \u201cTen years gone. Miss you, baby.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Some began commenting about his current wife<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Patton <\/strong>got re-married to a woman named <strong>Meredith Salenger<\/strong>. He announced their engagement in July of 2017, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2017\/11\/05\/patton-oswalt-meredith-salenger-are-married\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">married in November of that year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a response to his photo tribute to his late wife, one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threads.com\/@pattonoswalt\/post\/DXbEjWhlcaM\" onclick=\"getOutboundLink(&#039;https:\/\/www.threads.com\/@pattonoswalt\/post\/DXbEjWhlcaM&#039;); return false;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Threads<\/a> user commented, \u201cYour wife seems to be the most understanding spouse. I love that for all of you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patton <\/strong>saw that message and wrote, \u201cMeredith elevates empathy and has guided me and Alice back into the world. This is how she responded to one of my Instagram comments. I found love twice, and I\u2019m thankful every day.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He included a screen grab of <strong>Meredith<\/strong>\u2018s Instagram comment. She responded to someone who wrote, \u201cAlways a tough message for a current spouse \/ partner to read @meredithsalenger \ud83d\udc95.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meredith <\/strong>responded, \u201cNot tough at all. My heart breaks that the two people I love the most lost the person they loved the most. That they ever endured that sadness that will never go away.
