Due to the election, the First Minister politely declined the invitation.\u201d<\/p>\n They added, \u201cAs the First Minister has said previously, he will continue to engage with the president where it is in Scotland\u2019s interest, but will be clear on the areas where he disagrees with actions of the US administration such as on their actions in Iran<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n They reported that Trump <\/strong>called the First Minister on Monday (April 20) to invite him, and it was a four-minute long conversation.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
