\t\t<\/p>\n Jennie Garth<\/strong> is sharing some insight into how working with Amanda Bynes<\/strong><\/a> on their sitcom What I Like About You<\/em> changed her perspective on raising teenage daughters.<\/p>\n The 54-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210<\/em> alum said working with Amanda<\/strong> 20 years ago gave her a fresh look at being a mom to teenagers.<\/p>\n \u201cWorking with Amanda<\/strong> was eye-opening for me,\u201d Jennie<\/strong> told E! News<\/a><\/em>, \u201cbecause I didn\u2019t know what it was like as the older person to play in the scenes with a younger person, or just to be around that kind of teenage energy.\u201d<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cShe had so much overflowing teenage energy,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n The All That<\/em> and Amanda Show<\/em> star was only 16 when What I Like About You<\/em> debuted on The WB in 2002. Even when the series wrapped in 2006, she would have only been about 20.<\/p>\n Jennie<\/strong> was 30 and had two daughters, Luca Bella Facinelli<\/strong>, and Lola Ray Facinelli<\/strong>, with her ex-husband Peter Facinelli<\/strong>. They also had one daughter after the show ended, Fiona Eve Facinelli<\/strong>, in 2006, before the couple split in 2013.<\/p>\n Working with Amanda<\/strong> made Jennie<\/strong> \u201cfeel excited\u201d for her girls\u2019 teenage years because she\u2019d had \u201cso much fun\u201d with her younger co-star, who played her sister on the sitcom.<\/p>\n \u201cI thought, \u2018This is how I want to be with my kids when they\u2019re older.\u2019 Just loving all the songs that they\u2019re loving and playing and being youthful with them,\u201d Jennie<\/strong> shared. \u201cAnd so she really brought out all of that in me, in which it made me less afraid to move forward as the mother of teenage girls.
