The season 4 premiere of Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em> wasted no time addressing Scott Patterson<\/strong>\u2018s shocking exit<\/a> as Sully.<\/p>\n

During the Monday, April 20, episode of the CW series, Maggie (Morgan Kohan<\/strong>) noted that Sully \u201cjust left\u201d and said she didn\u2019t want to \u201clet things slide\u201d at the outpost while he is \u201con vacation\u201d in Ireland.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I am just feeling overwhelmed with him leaving like that,\u201d she told Cal (Chad Michael Murray<\/strong>). \u201cIt all took me by surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n

There was also a conversation between Frank (Tom Jackson<\/strong>) and Edna (Andrea Menard<\/strong>) where they spoke about Sully flying overseas.<\/a> In the main credits sequence, Patterson\u2019s name was noticeably missing after he was originally a main cast member on the show.<\/p>\n

Season 4 picks up the next day, with Sully still overseas,\u201d Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em> executive producer and showrunner Roma Roth<\/strong> exclusively told Us<\/em>. \u201cWhile he isn\u2019t physically present in this season, the character remains an important part of the world with the potential to be included in future seasons should that align with the ongoing creative.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patterson later hinted at what caused his surprising departure, writing via Instagram, \u201cThe creative differences were becoming untenable and I just sadly realized that the show was not something that I could agree to continue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patterson clarified it wasn\u2019t his choice to leave<\/a> Sullivan\u2019s Crossing<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s unfortunate that it is now being implied that they moved on from me\/Sully when the fact is the complete opposite, and those who sadly already have spoken out are also fully aware of this fact, and yet chose to say otherwise,\u201d he continued. \u201cI was not intending to make any statement but the fans of the books and the show deserve to know the truth as I have always been respectful of those who support this industry by watching and loving these characters we are so dang lucky and blessed to portray and bring to life.\u201d<\/p>\n
