Love on the Spectrum<\/em><\/a> star Abbey Romeo<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s mom, Christine<\/strong>, broke her silence on her daughter\u2019s recent split<\/a> from David Isaacman<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbbey and David had a long relationship of four-and-a-half years \u2026 Abbey has grown a ton since she started both social media and Love on the Spectrum<\/em>,\u201d Christine explained in a YouTube vlog<\/a> on Sunday, April 19. \u201cShe started to understand her own story [and] see herself as a person with autism in the world, learn how to accept her autism and still try to have a relationship and fit in. None of the growth would have happened without David.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christine pointed out that Abbey, 27, learned \u201cso much\u201d through her relationship with David, 31, before realizing that \u201cDavid was happy in his way of doing life\u201d while \u201cAbbey\u2019s was different.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m personally grateful to David for being a mirror for her to see and figure out what she wants, who she is, what\u2019s [her] love language,\u201d Christine added. \u201cThe other part of that is please don\u2019t judge autistic relationships as if they were typical. So many people on the spectrum are not going to do what typical people do.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on, [People on the spectrum are not always] in it to get married, get a house, get a new car, have children. \u2026 What they had was a great, great thing, that\u2019s thanks to the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christine argued that people upset by the breakup may be \u201cmissing the point on Abbey and David.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they will have a forever-bond. There was no fight,\u201d she insisted. \u201cBy the way, all the headlines \u2014 bulls***. Just so we can be clear over that. There was no fight over engagements and rings being thrown around.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later in the video, Christine clarified that Abbey and David had not fully discussed getting engaged before separating.<\/p>\n

On April 10, Abbey, David and their families released a joint statement to People<\/em><\/a> confirming that the Love on the Spectrum<\/em> couple recently broke up.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbbey and David spent four and a half years together and truly value the time they shared and each other,\u201d they announced. \u201cAt this point, they want different things and have decided to go their separate ways, but they remain friends wishing each other the best.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Us Weekly<\/em> spoke to Abbey and David in October 2024, they both expressed a desire to get engaged in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe [are] gonna get engaged someday,\u201d David told Us<\/em> at the time. \u201c[Abbey] likes all the things I like and she tries new things too. She is loving and kind \u2026 and she is beautiful and makes me feel like a prince.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abbey added, \u201c[We\u2019ll] get engaged someday \u2026 [right now] we\u2019re having a blast.\u201d<\/p>\n
