\nThe former Little Mix singer, 34, made the announcement by posing in front of a set of merchandise linked to the band on Monday (20.04.26) evening \u2013 a day after she revealed her \u00a3100,000 car containing life-saving hospital equipment for her twin daughters has been stolen from outside her home.<\/p>\n
\nJesy captioned the snap, which showed her dressed in a grey trouser suit: \u201cShe\u2019s off to Number 10 Downing Street.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWhile she did not confirm what the visit is for, a number of fans posted it was to continue her mission to raise awareness about her daughters\u2019 medical condition.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer gave birth to her daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe in May last year following a high-risk pregnancy.<\/p>\n
\nIt took until January for them to be diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy type 1, and the late diagnosis of the neuromuscular disorder means they may never walk. <\/p>\n
\nSome children with the condition need machines to help them breathe and to feed them, and Jesy has relentlessly campaigned for awareness of the condition since her shock.<\/p>\n
\nTogether with the Daily Mirror and charity SMA UK, Jesy launched a campaign in February for all newborn babies to get a \u00a35 test so they can be given new treatments which are effectively a cure if they are administered soon after birth.<\/p>\n
\nHealth Secretary Wes Streeting agreed to bring forward a planned trial of the programme from January 2027 to October this year, and it is thought this is what Jesy is going to Downing Street to discuss.<\/p>\n
\nAround 404,000 babies will be tested in the phased rollout in England.<\/p>\n
\nHowever, 163,000 will be excluded to act as a control group.<\/p>\n
\nJesy criticised the decision at the time, hitting out: \u201cIt\u2019s like literally a postcode lottery.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJesy told fans on Sunday (19.04.26) her \u00a3100,000 car containing life-saving hospital equipment for her twin daughters has been stolen from outside her home.<\/p>\n
\nShe said in a social media video the vehicle was taken from her driveway in Brentwood, Essex, in the early hours of the morning. <\/p>\n
\nJesy used her clip to share details of the theft including the registration plate of her car as she pleaded for the public\u2019s help in locating it. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cMy car got stolen off of my driveway in the early hours of this morning. If anyone sees a black defender Reg plate JJ73SSY\u2026 please, if any of you have seen or know of any information can you DM me or contact the police.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJesy added: \u201cI have so much of my girls\u2019 hospital equipment in that car that\u2019s really needed.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe singer is currently filming a spin-off of her Amazon Prime series focusing on her daughters\u2019 diagnosis and their treatment. <\/p>\n
\nThe project is also expected to document the breakdown of her relationship with Zion Foster, with whom she shares her children. <\/p>\n
\nThe pair ended their relationship after four years together, several months after becoming engaged.<\/p>\n
\nEarlier this year, Jesy spoke about co-parenting with Zion. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cWe\u2019re doing good, we\u2019re doing good. It\u2019s been tough. I\u2019m not going to bulls*** you. It\u2019s been really tough. And I think that\u2019s understandable with everything that we\u2019ve gone through. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut we\u2019re just cracking on and we\u2019re getting on with it and our girls are our focus. They\u2019re happy and they\u2019re doing really well and that\u2019s all we can ask for as their parents.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJesy rose to fame as a member of Little Mix after winning The X Factor in 2011. <\/p>\n
\nShe later launched a solo career, releasing music and documentaries while remaining a prominent figure in British pop culture.<\/p>\n
