LL Cool J<\/strong><\/a> is the epitome of, well, cool, according to the NCIS<\/em><\/a> cast, who told Us<\/em> they can\u2019t wait for fans to see the actor\u2019s latest cameo on the flagship series.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe comes and he\u2019s an assassin. He just comes and gets the job done,\u201d Brian Dietzen<\/strong><\/a>, who plays medical examiner Dr. Jimmy Palmer, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the 2026 CBS Fest on Wednesday, April 15, describing how professional LL Cool J, 58, is on set.<\/p>\n

Diona Reasonover<\/strong>, who plays forensic scientist Kasie Hines, got a laugh out of Dietzen\u2019s description, telling Us<\/em> on the red carpet, \u201cAssassin! That\u2019s so accurate!\u201d<\/p>\n

Dietzen, 48, explained that fans will once again get to see that spy-like vibrato when LL Cool J jumps over to their series<\/a> later this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have one LL Cool J coming in for [a] two part run on our show,\u201d he shared, noting that the back-to-back episodes starring LL Cool J \u201cdare not to be missed.\u201d<\/p>\n

LL Cool J will reprise his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna \u2014 which he originated on NCIS<\/em> in spring 2009 before the premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles<\/em> that fall \u2014 beginning with the Tuesday, April 21, episode of NCIS<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Fans will see the conclusion of his story arc the following week ahead of LL Cool J\u2019s new series, NCIS: New York<\/em>, which will premiere this fall.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a really fantastic show. It\u2019s really wonderful,\u201d Dietzen told Us<\/em> of LL Cool J\u2019s latest NCIS<\/em> cameos, which will be the focus of the episodes titled \u201cReboot\u201d and \u201cBad Impressions.\u201d<\/p>\n

LL Cool J made his NCIS<\/em> universe debut in April 2009 on NCIS<\/em> with a two-part backdoor pilot for NCIS: Los Angeles<\/em>, which premiered that September. He starred on Los Angeles until the series ended in 2023. LL Cool J later guest starred on NCIS: Hawai\u2019i<\/em>\u00a0before becoming a series regular on the third and final season<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n

The actor has made guest appearances on NCIS throughout his career, the latest being in 2025<\/a>. With every cameo, the cast of the flagship series has gotten to see firsthand just how \u201ccool\u201d LL Cool J is as an actor.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my gosh, [he\u2019s] my favorite person,\u201d Reasonover, 34, gushed. \u201cHe\u2019s so cool. LL, is so nice. I\u2019m, like, amazed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dietzen totally agreed, explaining, \u201cThe cool part of his name, that comes from a place of reality. He\u2019s a cool dude.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katrina Law<\/strong><\/a>, who plays Special Agent Jessica Knight, noted on the red carpet that LL Cool J is \u201calways smiling.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s always prepared. More than anybody else,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n

Dietzen echoed her sentiments, telling Us<\/em>, \u201cHe comes ready and he is set to go. I mean, you can see why. I mean, just an absolute titan in the industry, music, television, films, you name it. The guy knows what he\u2019s doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once LL Cool J finishes up his NCIS<\/em> cameos this month, fans will have to wait until the fall for more from Sam Hanna. CBS announced on Wednesday that NCIS: New York<\/em>, helmed by LL Cool J, will be part of its 2026-2027 fall TV lineup<\/a>.<\/p>\n
