He continued: \u201cI would say that Dr. Abbot is the head of [Mohan\u2019s] fan club, you know, and early on he\u2019s believed in her and he sees her as the future. He says that she\u2019s the smartest one here. \u2026 I think the power dynamic is obvious, so I don\u2019t see Abbot as someone who would cross that line. I think that\u2019s what makes the relationship so special because it\u2019s clear that he\u2019s got that attraction, but there\u2019s nowhere to go with it. That creates this excitement, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n
News broke earlier this month that Ganesh would be written out of the show<\/a> after season 2. The decision received backlash from fans who were still upset about Tracy Ifeachor<\/strong>\u2018s exit after season 1. Both departures were referred to as a creative choice.<\/p>\n\u201cIt\u2019s sort of the nature of the show. Unfortunately, the way the medical profession works, you come in, you learn, you move on, and we want to try and be as truthful to that process as possible,\u201d creator R. Scott Gemmill<\/strong> explained to Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cSo we\u2019re going to turn over our cast. But I think it\u2019s a great launching pad for people, and that\u2019s the best we can do.\u201d<\/p>\nIn a separate interview, Gemmill addressed the criticism<\/a> surrounding multiple women of color leaving The Pitt.<\/p>\n\u201cIt eliminates the false jeopardy some shows have,\u201d he told Vulture. \u201c[Mohan] is somebody who doesn\u2019t have a job lined up and might not know where she\u2019s going next, and we\u2019re trying to build up the uncertainty that these young physicians face.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response, Gemmill called it \u201cjust a by-product of having a diverse cast,\u201d adding, \u201cWe have a lot of women, and a lot of women of color.
