Rachel Reid<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about the progress of the seventh book in her \u201cGame Changers\u201d series, \u201cUnrivaled.\u201d<\/p>\n The author has been writing the delayed upcoming novel<\/a>, which will be the third book centered around fan-favorite characters Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov in their married life and being on the same team. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been writing it for about a year now. I was working on it secretly right up until January, when it was announced. I like it. I\u2019m very happy with it,\u201d she told Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em> at BookCon<\/em>. \u201cI\u2019m giving myself some time coming up in the next few months to just really focus on that and nothing else to make it as good as it can possibly be before it goes to my editor, because it\u2019s really important. I feel like more than any other book I\u2019ve written, this one needs to be really good. I hope I\u2019m giving people what they want out of this. I hope what I want is what other people want.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI still am making decisions about the plot with some things. I rewrite a lot,\u201d she added. \u201cThere\u2019s parts of the book I\u2019ve rewritten and changed so many times. But hopefully I\u2019ve made the right decisions and, generally, it\u2019s going well.\u201d<\/p>\n Rachel<\/strong> also talked about how Troy Barrett and Harris Drover from \u201cRole Model\u201d were a big impulse for her to write the new book. <\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Role Model\u2019 \u2014 that\u2019s one of my only books that doesn\u2019t have an epilogue, because I knew \u2018The Long Game\u2019 was going to continue their story a little bit. Then I still felt like their relationship is quite short. It\u2019s only set over a few months, so I wanted to dig a little deeper,\u201d she dished. \u201cI also just think it\u2019s interesting that Shane and Ilya are on a team together with this other player who\u2019s also dating somebody who works for the team. So they\u2019re not alone. It\u2019s like, how does all of this work together? I really like Ilya and Troy as friends. I also really like the idea of Shane coming into that friendship, because I think Shane\u2019s very different from Troy and it\u2019s almost like having two Ilyas in the space now, but then Harris is very different from all of them. So those four characters together I find very fun.\u201d <\/p>\n Speaking of Troy, Rachel<\/strong> reacted to rumors Jack Innanen<\/strong> could be joining the Heated Rivarly<\/em> season two cast<\/a>, and his pleas to be a part of it.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, he\u2019s very handsome, he\u2019s very funny, he\u2019s a great actor. I don\u2019t know if he\u2019s gonna be Troy or not, but he seems to want it. I wouldn\u2019t hate it. I sometimes wonder if he\u2019s too famous. He already has a pretty big fan base, it seems, because I hear people tell me every day that he should be Troy,\u201d Rachel<\/strong> said. \u201cOne of my favorite things about season 1 is how we made stars out of so many young actors, and I would love to keep doing that, but I also wouldn\u2019t be mad about it if it was him. I\u2019d like to meet him.
