Ryan Reynolds<\/a> has “never been more proud” of his wife Blake Lively for how she’s handling her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The 38-year-old actress filed a lawsuit against actor\/director Baldoni, 42, following their work on 2024 movie It Ends With Us, alleging sexual harassment, defamation and conspiracy among other claims, and the case is finally set to go to court next month. Now Ryan has spoken out about his wife’s legal fight and insisted he’s incredibly proud of her.<\/p>\n
During an interview on the Today show, Ryan said: “You really see the illusion behind so much of this stuff, digital life versus real life.<\/p>\n
“Really, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife. People have no idea what is really going on. I\u2019ve never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do.”<\/p>\n
Blake filed suit against her former co-worker in 2024 alleging she was subjected to sexual harassment on set as well as a smear campaign aimed at destroying her reputation and she is seeking $160 million in damages.<\/p>\n
\nLast month a judge narrowed the case down by dismissing 10 of the 13 claims, including the sexual harassment allegation, while allowing three claims \u2013 breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting in retaliation \u2013 to move forward. The case is scheduled to go to trial on May 18.<\/p>\n
\nAfter The Age Of Adeline star filed her initial lawsuit, Baldoni – who denied the claims – later filed a counter-suit against the actress and her husband, claiming defamation and breach of contract, but his suit was dismissed in 2025.<\/p>\n
\nFollowing the dismissal of several claims last month, a member of Blake’s legal team issued a statement on her behalf insisting the movie star is looking forward to having her day in court.<\/p>\n
\nThey said: “This case has always been and will remain focused on the devasting retaliation and the extraordinary steps the defendants took to destroy Blake Lively\u2019s reputation because she stood up for safety on the set and that is the case that is going to trial.<\/p>\n
\n“For Blake Lively, the greatest measure of justice is that the people and the playbook behind these coordinated digital attacks have been exposed and are already being held accountable by other women they\u2019ve targeted.”<\/p>\n
\nThey added: \u201cShe looks forward to testifying at trial and continuing to shine a light on this vicious form of online retaliation so that it becomes easier to detect and fight.”<\/p>\n
\nRepresentatives for Justin said: \u201cThese were very serious allegations, and we are grateful to the Court for its careful review of the facts, law and voluminous evidence that was provided. What\u2019s left is a significantly narrowed case, and we look forward to presenting our defense to the remaining claims in court.\u201d<\/p>\n
