\nThe Crimson River actress was found unconscious in a swimming pool in Paris last weekend and her family have now confirmed that the French star passed away a few days later.<\/p>\n
\nNadia’s daughters, Cylia and Shana Chasman, told AFP in a written statement: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Nadia Far\u00e8s this Friday.<\/p>\n
\n“France has lost a great artist, but for us, it is above all a mother we have just lost.”<\/p>\n
\nAccording to France’s Le Monde newspaper, Nadia had been pulled from the pool at a private gym last Sunday (11.04.26) and went into a coma after suffering a cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n
\nShe never regained consciousness and died at the Piti\u00e9-Salp\u00eatri\u00e8re Hospital on Friday (17.04.26).<\/p>\n
\nAuthorities told the outlet that an investigation has been opened into Nadia’s death but no wrongdoing has been found at this point.<\/p>\n
\nOn Saturday (18.04.26), Cylia took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute to her mother, declaring her death to be a “heartbreak I will never get over.”<\/p>\n
\nShe wrote: “It pains me to say goodbye, but mama, I will make you so proud.<\/p>\n
\n“I am so happy that we got even closer than we were before in your last few months. You understood me better than anyone and I don\u2019t know how I will recover. People always say I\u2019m mini you and that\u2019s the best compliment.<\/p>\n
\n“You were so loved and you were my role model, every achievement I had I was always so excited to tell you first because I knew how proud of me you would be.<\/p>\n
\n“You were not only an amazing mom but my best friend. …I love you, please watch over me. You have shown me how fast life can change literally overnight. I will take that with me every day and make every day count for you.”<\/p>\n
\nNadia had undergone brain surgery due to an aneurysm in 2007, describing her health issue at the time as a “ticking time bomb that needed to be treated urgently”.<\/p>\n
\nShe had also had three operations on her heart in the past.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress was born in Marrakesh, Morocco, in 1968 and found fame thanks to her work on Mathieu Kassovitz\u2019s The Crimson River, based on the Jean-Christophe Grang\u00e9 novel of the same name.<\/p>\n
\nShe went on to star in other Hollywood films, including 2007’s Storm Warning, as well as dozens of French projects.<\/p>\n
\nNadia had been due to begin filming an action-comedy, her debut as a director and screenwriter, later this year.<\/p>\n
