Director Nicola Marsh was to direct a three-part series following Zayn Malik, 33, and Louis Tomlinson, 34, on a road trip in the US, where they would discuss their experiences of fame, personal lives and careers.<\/p>\n
However, reports claim that the series has now been scrapped after Malik allegedly punched Tomlinson. Because Malik was wearing rings at the time, the hit is understood to have cut Tomlinson’s head. He was reportedly taken in for medical treatment, where it was also confirmed he had a concussion.<\/p>\n
It is understood that the incident occurred on set in front of several people and left Tomlinson \u201cstunned and in shock.\u201d<\/p>\n
A source said the incident took place about six months ago, with Malik “acting up and was mouthing off.” Zayn allegedly made a remark about Tomlinson\u2019s late mother, Johannah, who died of leukaemia in December 2016.<\/p>\n
Tomlinson allegedly took a step toward Malik and \u201cZayn [Malik] then attacked him\u2026 punched him straight in the face.” Following the incident, Netflix reportedly decided to scrap the documentary in March after it was clear that the two would not reconcile.<\/p>\n
On Friday (4\/18) director Nicola Marsh posted a screenshot of the news, writing, \u201cAnd there goes the last year of work.” Mutiple Twitter accounts are now also reporting that Tomlinson and other family members have unfollowed Malik on Instagram.<\/p>\n
