The 37-year-old singer recently had surgery to remove three cysts, which caused facial swelling and the neurological disorder, which she was diagnosed with in 2020 and causes sudden short-term muscle weakness in one side of the face when the facial nerve is damaged or stops working properly.<\/p>\n
And the sadness and “pressure” after hearing her best friend is battling an aggressive form of cancer led to Tulisa’s Bell’s palsy attack.<\/p>\n
On Friday (17.04.26), the former N-Dubz member got candid about her health as Tulisa explained the “highs and the lows” she has gone through recently to her Instagram followers as the star tries to make herself more “authentic”.<\/p>\n
The Strong Again hitmaker posted a series of photos, including shots of herself in hospital for the surgery and recovering in bed, with the left side of her face being swollen.<\/p>\n
\nThe lengthy caption read: “Trying to turn my insta into a place of authenticity. All that crazy life experience into a bit of inspo + tools for others. Which includes sharing my highs + the lows!<\/p>\n
\n“This week\/month had challenges: Nicotine Withdrawals:HELLISH, but I\u2019m now 2 months cig free.<\/p>\n
\n“Hormonal Roller Coaster: Canceled my recent egg retrieval due to low count(Not surprised with how my body felt) Frustrating but ok due to previous great success. Stress\/hormones\/nicotine withdrawals have been crazy.<\/p>\n
\n“Surgery Success: Last 3 cysts removed by @darrylcoombesofficial who years ago discovered the cysts causing my swelling + Bell\u2019s palsy. <\/p>\n
\n“Now cyst\/swell free. Big thanks to Dr.Al @nlclinic for the referral! So grateful for @darrylcoombesofficial. When other dr\u2019s looked at me like I was crazy + must have have had too much filler. What a journey. (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nThe Brit Award nominee continued: “The Big Hit: Same day as surgery, learned my soul sis Shelly @michelleplatnum has an aggressive cancer + will now start chemo\/radiotherapy. Still processing. She\u2019s a fighter, the fight continues #cancerawareness #checkyourbreasts.<\/p>\n
\n“The news after post surgery effects\/drugs led me to sickness + pressure from throwing up caused a Bell\u2019s palsy attack. Left my steroids in Manny but got some within 24hrs, so minor paralysis will last a week or so.Nothing compared to what my Shelly is going through. <\/p>\n
\n“Currently in bed recovering nicely from it all. Less sob story, more reminder we\u2019re all human, going through challenges, even when it looks shiny from the outside. (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nTulisa listed the positives in her life as she ended her lengthy caption.<\/p>\n
\nShe penned: “Shelly is strong + fighting. Cig free! Now got double the amount of eggs. Happy on my business front. Health. My inner work over the past 6 months has helped build a better baseline. Even in lows, I bounce back quicker. <\/p>\n
\n“My improved emotional\/nervous system regulation allows me to feel without staying stuck. Life isn\u2019t constant happiness, it\u2019s a series of ups + downs that define being ALIVE.<\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s up to u to choose ur thoughts\/perceptions. It\u2019s YOUR MIND. Not the experiences, others treatment of u or the past. Don\u2019t be consumed by the experiences..Be the observer. (sic)”<\/p>\n
