\t\t<\/p>\n A representative for the White House has hit back at Elizabeth Banks<\/strong><\/a> after she expressed disappointment in voters for not voting for Kamala Harris<\/strong> during the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n \u201cI wish more of us were becoming revolutionaries. Yeah. Effie is the model guys. She\u2019s the model,\u201d Elizabeth<\/strong> said on Bustle\u2019s One Nightstand<\/em> podcast released on Tuesday (April 14). Effie is a reference to her Hunger Games<\/em> character Effie Trinket, who was part of the in-universe fascist regime before later joining the opposition along with Katniss Everdeen and others.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t understand the 53% of white ladies that didn\u2019t vote for Kamala<\/strong>,\u201d Elizabeth<\/strong> expressed. \u201cI mean, what were you thinking?\u201d<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n She later continued, \u201cEffie for me is one of the characters that has the greatest arc that I\u2019ve ever played because obviously she props up this fascist regime that she benefits from.
