The 72-year-old star does not let Sailor, 27, raid her closet, but the mini-me – who is following in Christie’s modelling footsteps – does it anyway.<\/p>\n
Sailor told E! News: “She doesn’t let me take anything. I take things no matter what.”<\/p>\n
Laughing, Christie added: “I\u2019m always looking on her Instagram and going, \u2018That’s where those pants went. Oh, that’s where that jacket is.'”<\/p>\n
Sailor joked: “Girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do.”<\/p>\n
\nChristie – who is also mom to Alexa, 40, whom she has with her ex-husband, singer Billy Joel, 76, and Jack, 30, with her 78-year-old ex-spouse, real estate entrepreneur Richard Taubman – loves giving Sailor modelling advice.<\/p>\n
\nThe National Lampoon\u2019s Vacation star said: “She’s out there and she’s doing things – all the cool things. And she knows what’s happening right now.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd in return, Sailor gives her mom lectures on how to use social media.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I’m teaching her TikTok basically. Social media, TikTok, posting, being more on Instagram.”<\/p>\n
\nHowever, the model tries not to get “too involved” with helping Christie – who has Sailor with her 67-year-old ex-husband, architect Peter Cook – navigate the different social media platforms.<\/p>\n
\nSailor explained: “I like to leave her be because I think there’s something so beautiful about the way that she interacts with social media. It’s so cute and innocent, so I try not to intervene too much.”<\/p>\n
\nIn August 2025, Christie told how Sailor helped her set up a dating profile to find a potential partner, but was shocked to find they were being paired with the same people.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to 61-year-old actress Kristin Davis on her Are You a Charlotte? podcast, the blonde beauty said: \u201cShe wanted to see what kind of guys [would match] \u2026 and she put me up there \u2026 and she said, \u2018Mom, you\u2019re right not to go on it, because the same guys that said yes to me, are saying yes to you.'”<\/p>\n
\nKristin replied: \u201cSmart Sailor, that is a really fascinating little experiment.”<\/p>\n
\nChristie speculated on the type of guys who were matching with both her and Sailor, suggesting they were just looking for a woman who would be “impressed” by their choices.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI find that what men like to do is to find somebody that\u2019ll be impressed by every little thing that they do. Like, \u2018Oh really, oh, you\u2019re taking me to that restaurant.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
