Charli XCX plans to recycle her bridal looks<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old singer tied the knot with George Daniel in July last year and wore multiple gowns during their celebrations in London, and she revealed that not only had she worn her afterparty outfit on stage before the big day, she is going to “deconstruct” the look she sported for their second celebration in Sicily, two months later.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the cream Saint Laurent ruffled jersey minidress she wore in London, Charli said in a video for Britain’s Vogue magazine: \u201cI always try and not think, \u2018These are my pop star clothes and these are my daily clothes.\u2019<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s also how I feel about my wedding dress. I\u2019m gonna wear that, like, loads of times. <\/p>\n
“The dress I wore to my afterparty, I literally wear it all the time.<\/p>\n
\nReferring to when she sang Cherry Blossom Girl with Air at the We Love Green festival in Paris a month before she got married, she added: “I wore it on stage in France with Air first before I got married in it. Why not? My husband rewears his suits all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nFor the star-studded wedding in Scopello, Sicily, Charli exchanged vows with the 1975 drummer again in a bias-cut ivory silk sheer chiffon slip gown with elongated train and she has plans for the Danielle Frankel creation.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I’m going to wear that loads of times. I’m just going to deconstruct it and wear it in different ways. The dress I got married in has this undergarment piece with billowing material that you can attach or reattach.<\/p>\n
\n“If you can’t, I’m going to make it so you can. So I can wear it as my own little undergarment moment…<\/p>\n
\n \u201cYou\u2019re able to wear these unbelievable outfits, and there\u2019s this unspoken rule that you\u2019re only supposed to wear them once, but they\u2019re so fabulous.<\/p>\n
\n“I feel so lucky to be able to work with these designers on these incredible pieces, so I\u2019m going to wear them all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDespite being happy in her life with George, the House singer insisted he won’t be providing a lot of inspiration for her songwriting.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI don\u2019t really want to write songs about my husband forever. I\u2019m not sure how interesting that is, and he knows that. If I write about our relationship, I\u2019m probably only really interested in writing about some of the more obscure feelings of being married.”<\/p>\n
