Singer D4vd<\/strong>\u00a0has been arrested in connection to the death of Celeste Rivas<\/strong>, whose body was found in the trunk of his impounded Tesla.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> can confirm D4vd (real name David Burke), 20, is being held without bail following his arrest on Thursday, April 16.<\/p>\n

\u201cDetectives from Los Angeles Police Department, Robbery-Homicide Division have arrested David Burke, a 21-year-old resident of Los Angeles, for the murder of Celeste Rivas.\u00a0 Burke is being held without bail,\u201d the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement<\/a> on Thursday. \u201cThe case will be presented to the District Attorney\u2019s office on Monday for filing consideration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to D4vd\u2019s attorney for comment.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation after discovering the body of the teenager<\/a> inside an impounded Tesla registered to D4vd in September 2025.<\/p>\n

Police confirmed to Us<\/em> at the time that officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue in Hollywood on September 8, \u201cfor a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard.\u201d Detectives responded and located human remains inside a Tesla.<\/p>\n

Authorities told KTLA<\/em> at the time that the Tesla was towed from the Hollywood Hills after it was reported abandoned nearly a week prior to being discovered.<\/p>\n

Weeks later, investigators identified the deceased individual as Rivas, who turned 15 the day before her body was found.<\/p>\n

Although the singer did not address any connection to the late teen at the time, a spokesperson for D4vd told NBC in September, \u201c[He] has been informed about what\u2019s happened. Although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.\u201d<\/p>\n

D4vd is known for hits like \u201cHere With Me\u201d and \u201cRomantic Homicide.\u201d<\/p>\n
