After mourning the loss of two beloved dogs, <\/span>Jason <\/b>and <\/span>Kylie Kelce <\/b>have opened their home to a new four-legged family member \u2014 a German Shepherd puppy adopted from the Pennsylvania SPCA.<\/span><\/p>\n The adoption carries special significance for a family still healing from grief. In March 2025, Kylie took to Instagram to share that her <\/span>Irish Wolfhound named Baloo<\/span><\/a> had died.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe were lucky enough to have 7 years with the goofiest, sweetest, most lovable, and tolerant dog I\u2019ve ever met. He wanted nothing more than carbs and pets,\u201d she wrote in the post.<\/span><\/p>\n Baloo\u2019s death came one year after the Kelce family mourned the loss of their other Irish Wolfhound named Winnie. The decision to adopt again \u2014 and to do so through the PSPCA \u2014 speaks to a family ready to give a shelter dog a second chance at a loving home.<\/span><\/p>\n If there\u2019s one thing the Kelces can\u2019t seem to agree on, it\u2019s what to call their new puppy.<\/span><\/p>\n Kylie first announced the adoption on the <\/span>March 31 FAFO episode<\/span><\/a>, saying she planned to call the puppy \u201cBernadette.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n By the April 2 episode of her <\/span>Not Gonna Lie<\/span><\/i><\/a> podcast, the dog\u2019s name had shifted to \u201cMatilda\u201d \u2014 though Kylie sounded unsure.<\/span><\/p>\n During that same episode, Kylie revealed that \u201cBroomhilda\u201d had been a serious contender, a name Jason genuinely pushed for.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAnd I\u2019m not saying that to be funny.
